Don’t forget the WaPo’s eager above-the-fold story today on how Al Qaeda is frantically calling Obama mean names.

I have every confidence in my government to do the right thing for us and restore our confidence in ourselves. After all, O says this is the new era of personal responsibility.
Sure.....

Well, GMA...you have to convince the people in this country that buy things beyond lottery tickets, Newports, a few 40's and rent their furniture, waiting for that big EIC check every year for the hard work they done in votin'.
It takes real tax-paying (and I do mean income tax) working people of all incomes, expecially those who buy things like refrigerators, stoves, cars they really can afford and a host of other manufactured goods not related to those things that can be bought with EIC progress payments to make a difference in the economy. All this government will succeed in doing is to add more deadbeat voters to their Democratic freeloader column.
In the end, all they will have succeeded at is destroying individualism, responsibility and freedom at the expense of creating an Idiocracy.

Government cannot restore confidence. Congress has a 9% approval rating. Who trusts the government to fix anything?
Everything government touches turns to s***!

GMA: Only Massive Government Help Can Destroy Consumer Confidence
There fixed it
To: governsleastgovernsbest
The problem is that America has been prosperous for so long, people can’t imagine its absence. Government regulation and the destruction of free enterprise will destroy incentive and, like all socialist countries, all that will be left is an all powerful government that discovers it must impose force and fear to motivate productivity. The result is a command economy that ponderously and inefficiently tries to respond to economic need with misguided production quotas, substandard consumer goods and chronic shortages.

And, just like hitler, an adoring media and academia are leading the way.

A car is among the last thing people will buy in a poor economy. Most can put it off a year or two...at least. It's back to food, shelter and clothing....and getting rid of debt. Unfortunately, there's a whole bunch of very stupid people who have "visa'd" their life away or used "their only real asset (their house) for everything including the kitchen sink.
Nothing is going to stimulate the economy AT THIS POINT except giving monies to the lowest income folks who will have to put the money back into the system to survive....basically, more welfare...but it'll get spent.
Spend, save...Congress...make up your mind. The 401k'ers have taken the beating.
I'm sooooo confused.

The only way we're going to kill this beast called massive government spending and debt is to starve it to death.
There is little incentive to work harder when the government is just going to take more and more of your money and spend it to buy votes and enrich their rich Wall St. buddies.
Most of us are just watching out for ourselves now - every man/woman for themselves. Make as little as you can in order to pay your bills and spend as little as you can to keep tax money from being poured down local, state and federal rat holes.
