McCain Now Obama's No. 1 Senate Ally

GOP Sen. John McCain is positioning himself to be one of President Barack Obama’s strongest supporters, effectively giving Democrats the votes they need to override any GOP attempt to block the new administration’s legislative agenda.

Obama heaped warm praise on his GOP rival during a dinner held in McCain’s honor the day before the inauguration, calling him a hero.

Insiders duly noted McCain was granted a prime spot on the dais at the inauguration, sandwiched in a seat between White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

The day after the inauguration, Obama and McCain spoke again at the National Prayer breakfast.

It was all part of Obama’s ongoing charm offensive to woo those on the other side of the aisle. The effort was apparently well received by the maverick senator from Arizona, who throughout his career has shown a proclivity for teaming up with Democrats on legislation.

Back in 2000 my significant other was completely enamored by this quack John McCain.

I warned her then about him.

The man is a skunk, and we all know everything that we need to know about such. They are cousins of Rats.

McCain is a rodent of the highest order, and he has been for a long time.

I am convinced now that McCain never intended to win the election.

That is lunacy.

"I am sickened and disgusted that I spent time and money on this man during the election."

I voted for the a-hole, but only because of Palin. I thank my lucky stars I didn't donate to him. You should buy yourself a big bottle and drink that memory away.

Savage was right. McCain had no intention of winning. He was the willing fall guy for Obama.

McCain took the dive and now he’ll be rewarded.

I have always believed that and that is the main reason I did not support him. Frankly, I was scared of his being President.

“Today, I am what I have always been. A...uh, uh, Conservative. Yeah, that’s right, a Conservative”.

WE SHOULD NEVER LET A MAN LIKE THIS BECOME OUR NOMINEE EVER AGAIN!

You got that one right. He’s 100% RINO, Ann nailed it years ago.

Your doctor friend is probably right. And I'll repost McCain's own words from his acceptance speech:

On an October morning, in the Gulf of Tonkin, I prepared for my 23rd mission over North Vietnam. I hadn't any worry I wouldn't come back safe and sound. I thought I was tougher than anyone. I was pretty independent then, too. I liked to bend a few rules and pick a few fights for the fun of it. But I did it for my own pleasure, my own pride. I didn't think there was a cause that was more important than me.

I think McCain accurately described himself there, except he did not leave those characteristics behind in Hanoi as he says. It still describes his behavior of doing things to draw attention to himself.

I am sickened and disgusted that I spent time and money on this man during the election.

So am I. I’m going to send him a scathing letter just to make myself feel better. But we didn’t donate much to McCain. We donated more to get the commercials run that McCain refused to run.

I hope McCain runs for another Senate term so I can not vote for him. He’s a sleazeball. I’m almost tempted to vote for a Dem since Rep’s don’t usually run against him. I’ll probably just stay home though......

So am I. I’m sorry I voted for him, but not sorry I voted for Sarah.

As some others here have said, at least with Fauxbama we see clearly who he is. McRino was a fake pretend Republican with so much smoke and mirrors. Make me puke...

Hardly. The evidence seems to be trending in my favor.

Savage was right. McCain barely even campaigned until it was too late and he knew it. He refused to let his ads make the public aware of things the MSM hid. I don't think he ever intended to win or cared if he did. It wouldn't shock me if some Democrats are voting these RINOS in. They have stacked the deck now and it's a fast paced *train ride* to full blown socialism if not worse. This plan has been in place for years by Soros, Ayers and the likes. They waited until the deck was stacked then moved in for a fast kill.
