Obama to GOP: "I won"
Politico ^ | 1/23/2009 | Jonathan Martin and Carol E. Lee

President Obama listened to Republican gripes about his stimulus package during a meeting with congressional leaders Friday morning - but he also left no doubt about who's in charge of these negotiations. "I won," Obama noted matter-of-factly, according to sources familiar with the conversation.

The exchange arose as top House and Senate Republicans expressed concern to the president about the amount of spending in the package. They also raised red flags about a refundable tax credit that returns money to those who don’t pay income taxes, the sources said.

“even when in the majority the GOP governed as though they were in the minority- they fight like little girls- lets see if the arrogance of the rats dear leader expidites the GOP growing a pair...”

Credit where credit is due ... as the minority party the GOP did seem to adhere better to their principles. There are a few good men and women still with the (R) by their name - and I think examples like Boehner, Bond, Inhofe and McConnell spring to mind.

OK, You won...but we can filibuster EVERYTHING so you cannot do ANYTHING!

As if !

1. Donks will steal the Coleman seat.
2. Donks will appoint the Hillary replacment.
3. Donks will co-opt the RINOs as they always do.
4. Donks will turn McCain back into a reliable stooge.
5. In the very unlikely event the Reps fillibuster something important the Donks will change the rules and eliminate the fillibuster rule.

I predict no fillibusters, though.

I agree with President Obama - he won. So, the conservatives should fight him as much as possible, refuse to approve any of his measures and when things go from bad to worse (and trust me they will) they can say, “it wasn’t me!”

I have stated this before. Please read the history books and see why President Reagan was so popular - because President Carter was so UN-popular. I just hope the US has enough fortitude to withstand the next 4 years of onslaught! And if the left thinks the US was upset with President Bush, they are going to really be upset with the “Great Depression II” under President Obama. And by not voting for these stupid bills that are NOT going to solve our problems, again they can say, “NOT ME!”

Hold on, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!

Lest we forget, I seem to recall W making a somewhat similiar bragadocios statement in 2004 when he said something to the effect of “This election came with political capital, and I intend to spend it.”

I’m sure that comment got Libs in a tizzy much like the reaction here has been.

The only difference is, 0 will make good on it, while W and the meak-willed GOP congressman squandered their capital.

Obama was not meeting with a bunch of Losers . . All those Legislaters also WON their local elections.
3 % winning margin isn’t a Landslide agenda maker.

Making use of the same tactics the Donks used on the Republicans to win this election, as you say, is what I have been pondering. I agree with much of your post and especially the need to get into high gear and oppose these socialist thugs NOW. The democrat machine, hugely aided and often led by the MSM, demonized Pres Bush before he won the Presidency and never let up until they got Obama elected. Simultaneously, the democrats, using the same method, built up Obama. They never allowed their side to publicly put him in a negative light and always claimed him as winning and produced polls to back their claims. It could not have been done without the MSM getting Obama before the public in the frame and mode that the democrat party prescribed. The same method that was used to try and destroy George Bush was used to put Obama in the Presidency. If the GOP has any desire to win national elections again, a decision will have to be made whether to treat the campaigns as a real war. They will have to start with ending ACORN and other vote stealing activities by our opponents. Among other common sense measures, clean up primary elections. If we cannot find a warrior leader who understands what must be done to regain control of our lost Republic, there will be no troops to support any campaign.

Obama and George Sorros won this presidential election. That must be why Obama has to remind everybody that he won, he knows the truth. Also, this is the kind of remark that the Republican party needs to use over and over to impress voters with the real, unappeasable, non compromising, lying, new administration. Obama and his crew have no intention of crossing the political aisle for any reason other than getting, or buying, support for whatever they are pushing at any given time. If this "I won" put down of the Republicans trying to pow wow with the new President does not impress the whole party with exactly where it stands in this administration, nothing will.

Actually, the United States lost. But, the fact is that the parasites, traitors, idiots,Communists, and fools elected him president. And as far as I am concerned they deserve everything he does to them.
