President Obama made a surprise visit to the White House press corps Thursday night, but got agitated when he was faced with a substantive question.
Asked how he could reconcile a strict ban on lobbyists in his administration with a Deputy Defense Secretary nominee who lobbied for Raytheon, Obama interrupted with a knowing smile on his face.
"Ahh, see," he said, "I came down here to visit. See this is what happens. I can't end up visiting with you guys and shaking hands if I'm going to get grilled every time I come down here."
Pressed further by the Politico reporter about his Pentagon nominee, William J. Lynn III, Obama turned more serious, putting his hand on the reporter's shoulder and staring him in the eye.
"Alright, come on" he said, with obvious irritation in his voice. "We will be having a press conference at which time you can feel free to [ask] questions. Right now, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you guys - that's all I was trying to do."
The president was quickly saved by a cameraman in the room who called out: “I’d like to say it one more time, ‘Mr. President.’ ”
Obama spent about 10 minutes total, winding his way through a crush of reporters and photographers between the upper and lower floors of the journalists' workspace and asking questions about who worked where and how the booths and desks were assigned.

Really people, he is incapable of answering any questions that he has not been programmed to answer. The leftists have chosen this black man to acheive their agenda. They will do very grave harm to race relations in this country. If they fail, they will pin it on this black man.

Next up. No questions just answers. This man is primed to be a little dictator with his ego and his inability to put together a sentence without a teleprompter.
Of course he did. After all, when has any reporter ever tried to ask him a tough question?
Word is that reporters have stopped raising their hands in press conferences, asking to be recognized.
The policy now is pre-selected questions from pre-selected questioners.
The media has not gone public with any complaint about this kind of treatment.
They made him. They can't afford to cross him.

To my own stunned amazement I find myself agreeing with Obama on this one. We hated it when the press sandbagged our guy.
If Bush walked in to say hi and started getting grilled by the liberal media we would hate it too.
I just hope they ask the same subtantive questions at the appropriate time, and I hope that cameraman did not have to go to the hospital after ‘maintaining’ more than four hours, if you catch my drift.

Unless this reporter is on the pre-approved list for asking a question, he can forget it..he’ll NEVER be called on and his questions will go unanswered..only fluff is allowed..
Newspapers are already suffering mightily—a key reason here is that too often they have fluff or slanted news. If the reporters can’t give the public what they want, they will fail. Unless, of course, Obama gives ‘em a bailout too.

OH pleeeeease. GW got sandbagged EVERYDAY for 8 years and had more class than this. This is only Zero’s SECOND day. And you agree with him? The Zero messiah worship stains some freepers too, it seems.

I would give Obama this piece of advice, —which he should already know, but obviously doesn’t
Reporters are not your friends , They will talk to you like you are one of the guys,but if a story slips out they will stab you in the back, they will run over and trample other reporters to be first to print the story and they would kill their mother if she got in the way.There is no such thing as “off the record” if it involves a story.
There isnt a more cut throat bunch of operatives in the world than a reporter. As one who has met and dealt with them ,this is the first thing you learn. If he knew anything at all about being President he would already know this.
Totally unqualified.
