If I had to swear in the anti-Christ, I probably would have stumbled worse than Roberts. :O)

I feel sorry for Judge Roberts. It seemed Obama threw him off when he repeated too soon. Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone makes a mistake in front of millions.

Of all people, Joe (article 1) Biden had the nerve to make fun of Justice Roberts and the oath.

Bonehead move by the Chief Justice not to have notes for the swearing in ceremony. Screwed up an important tradition for our country.

BREAKING NEWS msnbc.com staff and news service reports updated 2 minutes ago WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama retook the oath of office at the White House on Wednesday after a blunder during Tuesdays inauguration. Chief Justice John Roberts stumbled slightly over the 35-word constitutionally prescribed oath of office as he swore in Obama as the 44th president. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28780417/ HA! There it is already. Obama didn't mess up the oath you see, it was Chief Justice Roberts who screwed things up.

Maybe Roberts, as CJ of SCOTUS, knew just a little bit more about the man standing before him than the rest of us do.
To: LottieDah
The only thing you can't retrieve is the film on the actual swearing in on Tuesday! That was the biggest blunder in swearing in history!! It will be on the history bins for the rest of America's lifetime. CAN'T be redone!!!
To: lewisglad
Metaphorical.....I’m sure.....but, I really am amazed they re-did it.....sheesh.

Roberts fault
Actually, if the transcript on the MSNBC site is correct, it appears it was the fault of CJ Roberts. I imagine they were both a bit nervous - first time for both.
Geez....never thought I'd be defending Present (show us your ID) Obama.
To: flib
What would happen if Judge Roberts had refused to administer the Oath. I mean, besides the riots. What would happen next?

Ahhhh. Give the poor guy another chance.
To: RoseofTexas
Wish I knew some loser that went to the inauguration so I could tell them they wasted all that money and sat out in the cold and didn’t see the real swearing in.
