I think that you might not want to limit it to Michelle, since PIAPS will be in the news alot, as will other Dims, and international figures.
On my FRENCH CULTURE AND POLITICS PING LIST I cover fashion/ The new French First Lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has gotten a lot of coverage, vboth good and bad.
I love your tacky award picture, (matches Muchelles Froufrou taste) Are you planning on giving a “good Taste” award as well? I would nominate Condi Rice for a “Fashion Lifetime Achievement” award. She always looks terrific, and is always appropriately dressed foir the occasion.
Jill Biden looked pretty good in her red ball gown, IMO.
Michelle is very tall and has poor posture. She shouldn’t wear anything that exaggerates that.
Wearing a “little print summer dress” to the National Cathedral is inappropriately unformal. I know anything goes for these Dims, but short sleeves in a Cathedral is still a no-no. I still wear a skirt and heels, or, in the coldest weather, trousers, to Church on Sunday.
Also, for all of us on the East Coast, DC included, who are freezing our tushies off, wearing short sleeve summer dresses when it is below freezing is just an elite affectation.... they only get in and out of limos, so why bother to dress for Winter like the rest of us?

Elizabeth best watch it or we’ll start tearing her wardrobe to shreds too, bless her heart. I like Elizabeth and all, but she’s WAY too weak for that venomous “The View” show.

Fashion is one of the least of my priorities, and to me comfort rules. But even tho I don’t have an eye for fashion, there are times when something just plain stands out as not being right, and M just keeps the attention going. I had to laugh when one fashionista made a comment about the outfit M wore on Inauguration Day. He said it was a little “5 O’clockish”, but -——” Then he went on in glowing terms. (I wonder what the comments would have been if it were Sara Palin?)
M is a big woman, and rather muscular, but well-proportioned. But even woman like her can be taught to walk gracefully. Doesn’t she see herself? Wouldn’t you think her handlers would try to help her to walk just a little more gracefully? And while at it -— help the older daughter do the same? I know she is just a kid, but she walks like a clunk.
While I’m being catty about walking, Caroline Kennedy is another one who needs lessons.
Mind matters to me more that the physical, but when attention is drawn to the physical, then maybe something should be done about it.

What does one expect? Woman discuss people’s attire a lot, even if you’re not in the public light. Why weren’t there issues with Laura Bush’s attire? It was because she dressed to the position of FLOTUS.

Please add me to your ping list. After searching high and low for truthful comments about Michelle’s fashion sense, this is the only post that really tells it like it is. Michelle Obama has no fashion sense whatsoever — she is as far removed from Jackie O as we are from the moon.
The mainstream newspapers will not tell the truth because they are in love with the Obamas and everything they do — even the hideous clothes Michelle wears. She is representing the United States and she’s downright embarassing.
