President Obama's Inaugural Address? Clichéd, surprisingly dull, naive, and memorable only insofar as it was forgettable. Mr. Obama's oration wasn't even...

Hey, this is not Campaign 2012 yet. Give him a few months to hone his stump speech for that campaign, then revisit this oratory. The gnomes of the nascent obama regime shall have it polished up and with the right ring of sincerity and authority behind it.
But it will STILL be pure unadulterated bullcrap.
We are SO screwed.

In Obamas case he thinks he is a 4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4 with a Vanderbilt tender. LOL! I would really like to see what one of those looks like.

can’t stand that woman. She put down Sarah out of pure jealousy and because Sarah is not in the DC elitist crowd.
The says that the party should accept homo’s and their agenda.
She is so stuck up and pompous it makes me sick to think she is a republican, maybe she would be better off with her homo friends in the Dem party.
Does she not even get it that she’s not liked?

In a way it actually kinda describes him, something thats so long it defies imagination and could not turn in any direction.
For those that are scratching their heads its train talk of the wheel set arrangement of locomotives, the famous UP steam train out of Cheyenne Wyoming is a Challenger 4-6-6-4, the Big Boy a 4-8-8-4 so something like a 0-0-0-0 means it has no wheels, its not going ANYWHERE.

Here's a typically ugly Russian creation:
It's billed as a "4-8-2+2-8-4."

Ah, that’s what it is... it’s like the movie “They Live”. We need the special glasses.

All the other presidents were not trying to be someone other than themselves in their speeches. Obama himself probably doesn’t know who he is and so he casts himself in the image of other previous notable presidents like Lincoln and Kennedy and FDR.

You may be right.
Obama may not go down in history as great in any manner. And, there likely won't be any great statues or monuments erected in his honor. He will, if nothing else, be remember as the first black president.
What I was saying is still true. Obama did rise to the top of the greatest and most powerful nation that has ever existed.

She's not right. How could she miss the tiresome clichés, logical contradictions, nonsense, drivel, and liberal pablum? Are conservatives the "childishness" that Obama intends to lead the country beyond with his utopian socialism and Nanny State policies? A speech is not just how it sounds but what it says and means logically and factually. There were parts that were genuinely insane. He's claiming to transcend ideology while launching off into Big Government socialism.

..but...but... Peggy Noonan called it 'serious and solid'...! It might be because Jon Favreau had met with her to discuss speechwriting for Presidents. At least that's what I read on the thread talking about Favreau writing the speech.
