The New Jersey State Police have stopped a car on the N.J. Turnpike and are sending a bomb squad to investigate a report of a young man carrying an explosive device to the inauguration in Washington, D.C.
The police investigation on the New Jersey Turnpike in Runnemede has closed a 25-mile stretch of the highway. State police pulled over the vehicle by Interchange 3 in South Jersey at 6:30 p.m.
The investigation has grown, and the turnpike is now shut down southbound at Interchange 4 and Northbound at Interchange 1. The stretch of roadway runs between Mount Laurel Township and the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
The FBI, State police and NJ Turnpike Authority are investigating.
The identity of the suspect has not been released. Police said he is 27 years old, 6 feet tall and from Sturbridge, Mass. They said he left his home at about 10 a.m. Tuesday.
According to WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, police received a word that the vehicle may have been carrying an explosive, possibly a threat, against President Barack Obama.
The suspect has been taken into custody and taken to the Moorestown Barracks, and a state police spokesman will only say they are looking into “some accusations.”

If he was on his way to the inauguration, it must’ve happened this morning. Is the turnpike open now? Scary stuff.
He’s not late if he was on his way to an Inaugural ball.
The timing is odd but I’m sure there are plenty of people still around and perhaps he thought security would be relaxed with all the balls and drinking.
The article says he was pulled over at 6:30pm.

I guess they stopped the guy around 6:15PM EST.

Well, thats it then ... thousands upon thousands of motorists and trucks are being diverted onto the sideroads of Joiysey, never to find their way back to a main highway. They're DOOMED !!!
