First of all, he's not only got a foreign sounding name, he's a foreigner who spent most of his childhood outside of the US, he's only half-black and has no slave blood and looks like a white yuppie with a suntan.
Secondly, there was a heck of a lot more to the founders than being "slaveholders." Some of them were, some of them weren't. And even for those who were, it was a problem that they knew would have to be solved someday. Which it was, obviously.
Still, this thing about electing a foreigner has got to be dealt with. The founders were pretty explicit on that.
