Obama, oaths and the end of constitutional government [Alan Keyes and John Haskins]
WorldNetDaily ^ | January 20, 2009 | Alan Keyes and John Haskins

Now steps onto the stage of world history a man apparently quite conscious that the Supreme Law of the United States prevents him from being president of the United States.

For why else would anyone hire lawyers and expend millions of dollars to avoid producing a $12.50 birth certificate to show eligibility under the Constitution? 'Midst the rhythmic chants of a delirious, sycophantic media, inaugural splendor will substitute for simple proof that the United States of America will have a constitutionally legitimate president.

If Obama is not eligible, legally, the United States of America will have no president. A usurper will wield such power as few men have ever held, having no constitutional warrant. However beloved of the media or adored by racialist groupies, and irrespective of public support, Obama will be a tyrant, in the original sense of the word (from the Greek tyrannos meaning one who wields power to which he has no lawful claim). As he sends young soldiers to die, even the appearance of his usurpation of presidential powers will insult their sacrifice and thwart the Constitution they give their all to preserve. Even as he utters the oath – hand on Lincoln's Bible – he will betray it, not upholding, protecting and defending the Constitution, but subverting it.

The elites insist that we should pretend to be convinced by an exhibition of a "certificate of live birth" via the Internet, lacking the very information the Constitution requires. On the strength of this we are to exercise blind faith and risk the consequences of an unconstitutional usurpation of the presidency?

"Put not your faith in men, but bind them down with the chains of the constitution," Jefferson warned us.

At the very least, there is something in that document that is at variance with Obama’s public “biography,” which if revealed would expose Obama as a liar. (People have speculated that Barack Obama Sr. was not the biological father. Heck, if some on the left can speculate on Trig Palin’s parentage, why can’t we ask questions, especially given the secrecy?) People are asking themselves, why else keep the records under wraps?

I know what you mean about not wanting to watch.

Obama’s inexperience, naivete, and socialist policies are bad enough.

But what is the most troubling, and most dangerous, by far is the media’s and the public’s unquestioning adulation of Obama. It’s like some kind of mass psychosis.

I never quite understood how many countries have, from time to time, gone off the deep end and entrusted terrible leaders with great power. Now I know that it is all too possible, even in America. Sad.

My sincerest condolences.

Two weeks ago I had a MRSA abscess. I was in the urgent care 4 days in a row to have the abscess surgically opened, IV antibiotics, and daily pack changing.

I am better now and feel lucky to be alive.

Considering the Supreme Court has decided that no one, not a single one of us, has the right to demand a President to be qualified as stated in the United States Constitution, we are doomed. The Consitution no longer has any enforcement except as we enforce it. This is why people are arming up. They know they will have to enforce their rights.

I’m not filled with confidence that a people who won’t even lift a finger when it’s easy to protect freedom, will have what it takes to do so when it is very, very hard.

I keep hearing that his speech is going to be about taking personal responsibility.

I've been taking personal responsibility long before this a$$hat came on the scene.

I take personal responsibility every time I get up at 4:30 in the morning to go to work.

I take personal responsibility every time I work in sub freezing temperatures.

I take personal responsibility every time I work in blistering hot temperatures.

I take personal responsibility every time I drive 30-80 miles, one way, to go to work.

I take personal responsibility every time I work 8, 10, 12 or even 24 hours in a day.

I take personal responsibility every time I work 5,6 or 7 days a week.

I take personal responsibility every time I pay my bills.

I take personal responsibility every time I decide to live within my means.

I take personal responsibility every time I look for the best deal, and try to save money.

I take personal responsibility every time I go to a friends house, to give him/her a hand with something.

I take personal responsibility every time I give to someone in need.

I take personal responsibility every time I donate to a charity.

I take personal responsibility every time I look after my 80 year old mother, and make sure she has what she needs.

I take personal responsibility every time I show common courtesy to someone else.

I take personal responsibility every time I look to myself instead of the government, for my wants and needs.

“I’m not filled with confidence that a people who won’t even lift a finger when it’s easy to protect freedom, will have what it takes to do so when it is very, very hard.”

Good point, an excellent point, but let me put that into perspective for you.

During peacetime it takes a majority to affect positive change. They must run for office, they must vote, and they must hold those in office accountable. At some point, the system becomes corrupt and no amount of input by the people makes for positive change.

During wartime, it takes only a few people who do not follow the rules of the system to affect change. Those that steal power and influence in peacetime can do so because civility is easy to manipulate. War isn’t so giving. Bribing a politician during peacetime is easy because going to court to enforce the law is useless when the prosecuting attorneys are also on the take. During war, they get shot.

See, the majority may during peacetime try to affect change only to find the system too corrupted. During war, it takes only a few people to affect change.

I think many Americans have tried to change the country for the better, I really do. I just think they have found the system too corrupt to have any impact as we are witnessing these past few decades.

A$$hat never took personal responsibility. He always relied on the color of his skin to get him in. He still does. He has accomplished nothing.

I whole heartedly agree.

He's always lived off of somebody else.

Either paving the way for him, or affirmative action, today he's been living off the "donations" of others.

His wifes income has only been in the low 6 digit range. There real money didn't come until the messiahs books sales. And yet from anything I've seen has only been about $10 million. He's been living an awfully extravagant lifestyle since running for POTUS. A much higher lifestyle than someone of his known income.

Thanks for the clarification. I think you and they are right.

BTW, the oath was taking place when I was typing this response to you, and Obama had a hard time getting it out. LOL

No teleprompter for that I guess...

Thanks for the response. You are right, but I listen out of concern for what this man and his lap dog media will usher into this nation. I won’t turn my back to him. I don’t trust him that much.

Today he said in his speech, “true to our founding documents”, except he refuses to prove he is eligible according to the founding document of the Constitution.

He is a lair.

Actually, they don’t, that’s the purpose of ‘escape velocity’. And besides, this wicked man has an army of blind leftists sycophants bouying him up as he systematically pisses upon the Constitution and the rule of law. But what else would we expect from demcorats?

So insightful! Obama is a wicked man of low moral character, as he has proven with his ardent defense of infanticide arguing to cancel the Constitutional rights of newly born alive children. Dr. King had a dream, Obama offers only a Marxist nightmare. May God have mercy upon US.

I’m on my way to trade vehicles before the full-blown depression hits and the democreaps raise gasoline taxes to $.75 per gallon to fund additional socialist dreams.

He utilizes Muslim banking methodology, too. His house is in the name of a Rezko lawyer, who also pays the taxes.
