The Senate on Tuesday is expected to attempt unanimous-approval votes of President-elect Obamas Cabinet nominees, but it is uncertain who will be cleared by the upper chamber on Inauguration Day.
Senate Democratic leaders have circulated a unanimous consent request for 15 nominations at various departments, from Secretary of State nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton to United Nations Ambassador nominee Susan Rice. A senior Democratic aide cautions that leaders are uncertain how many will actually win unanimous approval, and that any roll-call votes that are necessary would be held on Wednesday.
The 15 names also include Attorney General nominee Eric Holder, Agriculture Secretary nominee Tom Vilsack, Education Secretary nominee Arne Duncan, Homeland Security Secretary nominee Janet Napolitano, Interior Secretary nominee Ken Salazar, Labor Secretary nominee Hilda Solis, Energy Secretary nominee Steven Chu, Environmental Protection Agency Secretary nominee Lisa Jackson and Deputy Defense Secretary nominee William Lynn.

Totally agree! Show Obama and his administration the same ‘respect’ they showed George W & his...every bit as much respect...
Bad things have happened to other countries and other people that also believed in God...
Amen! Very well said!
I wouldn’t go anywhere near DC. I can’t imagine a bigger target anywhere in the world tomorrow. How long is the list of potential terrorists that might not want to pass up this opportunity?
“If this is true, then we live in a Banana Republic.”
Didn’t you get the memo?
The 0bamafuhrer has commissioned harry belafonte to rewrite the National Anthem.
“Do Republicans and others forget that 47% of the country and 55 million people voted AGAINST Obama?”
That’s 47% of those who voted, and yes the so-called Republicans have forgotten.
“Runaway train with no deadhead on the tracks ...”
Driving that train, high on cocaine
0bamafuhrer is ready, watch your back
Trouble ahead, trouble behind
And you know that notion just crossed my mind.
There’s nothing in the constitution that prohibits but of course it should not be done.
America hasn’t shifted left at all. They just voted anti-Republican. They shifted stupid.
We have nooooooo idea,
they are only getting started.
Economically, they have shifted left. Socially, the youth are more left than prior generations. The nation has shifted and it will take a lot of effort (or a collosal failure that affects everything) to get her back.
Why would you believe any poll that comes from the media?
Know your enemy. Our country is known by its enemies.
Any Republican Senator that signs on to do this should be tarred and feathered and run out of D.C. on a rail.
That about sums it up.
I’m just going to pretend for now that, in my head that this isn’t happening to our country. I CAN’T HEAR YOU! LALALA I CAN’T HEAR YOU!
You can sleep, but there’s no warranty of anybody left to wake you up. Stay and do your part, every little bit will be needed.
So much for Pelosi’s Congress being the “most ethical ever in history”.
THis is how I am celebrating today's events
“Will one Republican Senator have the guts to say NO!??”
John Cornyn is going to block Hillary’s appointment according to some news a bit ago on Fox. Not sure how he does it all by himself...but it’s a start!
