People have been saying a third party would gain traction for years. It’s never happened. If we want to affect change, we must work within the GOP.

No you got it on the first hit, with today’s technology we can fly from the U.S., Guam, Midway, and any U.S. Aircraft carrier to and hit pretty much any target anywhere in the world within hours.

We need to get back to protecting our DIRECT interest, and not laying down American lives and wealth for another country that spits in our face and knifes us in the back two minutes after we finish saving their asses.

A lot of my brothers in arms have died over my career doing just that, and I refuse to support such actions anymore!

AS you stated “many countries would turn on us in a minute”... THEY ALREADY HAVE... Russian GPS jammers in Iraq located during the invasion, German weapons, French weapons, Russian weapons the list goes on and all this dated and delivered just before our troops hit the ground... and at the time these countries all our (supposed) allies!

We gotta get back to taking care of our own or we will end up in... well, the position we are in now!

Rant ends...

Hey, we tried to boot a RINO outta office in GA during the last election, and oh what a fit a lot of freepers threw, oh we can’t lose this seat, oh we gotta have that one and not that one...

We tried to help out by losing a RINO and just got sand kicked in our face for our efforts... a lot of us have been trying to purge the party of RINOs for years and what did we get for our efforts... scorn and a couple of knives in the back by our own side...

So unless you (FR) GOP activist can get on the same page, I’ll just save the time and stress by supporting the Constitution Party.

The GOP is a wastebasket and needs to be emptied, times are a changing my friend... people are tired of the status quo and the destruction of our country, the last election was a very BIG wake up call... Constitution Party

The GOP is a party of no consequence... They have helped to hasten the destruction of the constitution and our country just as quickly as the Dems... I supported them for 30+ years and I will no more...

BUMP

Closed primaries are a MUST. The notion of an open primary is ridiculous on its face.

I’ll also add we have got to get better organized and more effective with PR. We have to go beyond preaching to the choir. The Left and the RINOs have so sullied the name Republican, and have lied so much about who’s to blame for problems. We really need to do alot more than just get true conservatives elected. I think their needs to be a groundswell against politicians. We need to present our candidates as anti-politicians, as Joe the Plumbers and as Sarah Palins, as statesmen/public servants and not political hacks. Most people are sick of politicians from either side. Obama did us all a favor by filling his administration with Clinton hacks as he gave us a means to expose his change as more of the same. I also think that the can do no wrong aura does not extend beyond him personally. He will get a big pass because he was first but that doesn’t mean that everything around him can’t be taken down and exposed as same-old same-old.

...so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.

Too late, Tommy. It's already here.

...Their orders are to basically "Retreat", and now GW Bush is saying we all must get along.

When was this story written?

They are National Guard youth Challenge members, as discovered by another FReeper. So they are not O-bots.

I would like to give a big bump here to the American Independent Party and the Constitutional Party. Without them, most of our suits and efforts wouldn’t have gotten this far. I know where my efforts are going after this election.

Rather odd screen name in light of the OKC bombing, what?

Have you thought this through, or are you an erstwhile agent provocateur?

I admire the effort!

I’m afraid that the conservative personalities and ideas will have to come before the money will start flowing.
You can’t start with a fist full of dollars in search of a conservative voice.

I agree with all that but we are focusing on Congress not the Presidential election. 2010 all of the House is up for re-election and 1/3rd of the senate. Individual states will have primaries for their congressman.

I didn’t get a chance to vote for my candidate in the primary, had no choices for Pres, the decision was already made by others.

Agreed. The representatives that have stuck it out and not sold out need to stay. How many stayed in chambers refusing to jump on the bail out bandwagon. There are good congressman, but we have to focus on the rinos and the corrupt.

Sounds like you are right on target. To me when this gets going the name Primary Challenge will mean more than people know.

Backing Conservative candidates against rinos and getting Conservative Democrats to challenge their leftists....

We already have a couple candidates to challenge Dems... This needs to be a unified effort with everyone working together to make it happen.
