Barack Obama hit the road, the furniture movers loaded up, and Tiger Woods made the cut for an inauguration the likes of which this country's never seen.
The golf star - who has steered clear of politics - announced that he will speak at the Lincoln Memorial concert tomorrow to kick off the festivities as Obama gets set to take office.
--snip--
Meanwhile, the White House staff readied a clockwork plan to move President Bush and First Lady Laura out and usher in Obama, First Lady Michelle, their daughters, Sasha and Malia, and the first lady's mom.
The hand-off of the White House from Bush to Obama will take place during a six-hour window after the new president is sworn in on Tuesday.
Some furniture moving got under way yesterday as a government limo was spotted driving past the State Department loaded with furniture from IKEA. (See photo at link)

And they have the nerve to call Governor Sarah Palin a hillbilly?!

I’ve been an anti-tiger fan from the beginning. Hopefully now people will start to agree with me.

Tiger had his injury at the U.S. Open a week before the PGA was going to test for steroids. How long does it take for steroids to get out of the system?
Reminds me of when Michael Jordan went to become a baseball player because he was rumored to have been betting on basketball games. He is well known to be a big gambler.

He gave a nice speech about honoring our military families and related it to his own upbringing.

Sorry, I don't agree with you at all. He has always conducted himself with class and dignity. Not to mention the fact that he does extraordinary charity work for and with kids through his foundation.
I've understood antipathy towards him.

I thought maybe it was photoshopped, but that explains it. Afterall, the White House does come “furnished.”

IKEA????? and in back of the Presidential Limo?
BTW notice when he showed up at the painting party today he swaggered in like a member of the hood... what he did was a good thing, but that swagger was not at all presidential -- and they mocked Bush!
