ANTI-TERROR bosses last night hailed their latest ally in the war on terror — the BLACK DEATH.

At least 40 al-Qaeda fanatics died horribly after being struck down with the disease that devastated Europe in the Middle Ages.

The killer bug, also known as the plague, swept through insurgents training at a forest camp in Algeria, North Africa. It came to light when security forces found a body by a roadside.

The victim was a terrorist in AQLIM (al-Qaeda in the Land of the Islamic Maghreb), the largest and most powerful al-Qaeda group outside the Middle East.

It trains Muslim fighters to kill British and US troops.

Now al-Qaeda chiefs fear the plague has been passed to other terror cells — or Taliban fighters in Afghanistan

Maybe one of their weapons escaped

I thought the same thing. All the security, secret service, police, National Guard in the world can't protect us or the government from something like this.

It’s easily cured with simple antibiotics.

That's only if it's detected within 24-48hrs after contraction, I think.

I hope this isn’t a ‘work related’ injury/death.

We have it here every year.

From the CDC...In the United States, the last urban plague epidemic occurred in Los Angeles in 1924-25. Since then, human plague in the United States has occurred as mostly scattered cases in rural areas (an average of 10 to 15 persons each year). Globally, the World Health Organization reports 1,000 to 3,000 cases of plague every year. In North America, plague is found in certain animals and their fleas from the Pacific Coast to the Great Plains, and from southwestern Canada to Mexico. Most human cases in the United States occur in two regions: 1) northern New Mexico, northern Arizona, and southern Colorado; and 2) California, southern Oregon, and far western Nevada. Plague also exists in Africa, Asia, and South America

Yes, i think it’s pneumonic plague. It spreads from person to person without any intermediary like fleas.

Plaque is easily diagnosed and easily cured if caught in time.

Suprise, We have the black death in the US, and have had it for a long time. Ask any Navajo living in the 4 corners area,

A biologist in this state died of it last year. He caught it from handling dead animals.

It comes and goes with a periodic cycle, about 11 years to the cycle.

That is a sunspot cycle.

There is also hantavirus as well.

Friends who served in Iraq heard rumors that shipments went to Syria as the ground war in 2003 was getting under way but they could not confirm those rumors. If said weapon shipments went to Syria, could not cash-strapped Syria sell them on the open black market to naughty folks? It’s certainly possible.

There is a whole realm of things going on to which only Special Ops, CIA and NSA are privy and the general public is oblivious. When I visited a friend at MARSOC, there was a whiteboard scrawled with “America is not at war. The US military is at war. America is at the mall.”

What if it’s a weoponized form that doesn’t respond to antibiotics? These guys are the kind that would find something like that to use.
