After wrestling with this decision for two years now, I have resigned from the Republican party. The party no longer represents my values and I see no hope for real change in the foreseeable future.
The following letter is being sent to the Republican National Committee along with the California Republican Party by U.S. Mail. If you feel the same way, you are welcome to use this letter, or portions of it, for your own letter of resignation if you wish. Then contact your state Secretary of State's office to change your voter registration.

I am still an elected precinct committeeman, and still involved in the County Party. I have several friends who told me they were going to walk away from the County Party. My response to them has been that if we leave they will think it is ok to continue down the road to socialism, I am going to stick around and kick them in the shins once in a while, and I'll need all the help I can get.
“If were going to have any chance of regaining limited, Constitutional government, we need more letters like this. The RNC needs to get it together.”
The problem is, the RNC is never going to “get it together.” They are simply returning to the model of collaboration with the left that served them so well from the late 1930’s until 1980. The GOP has never been comfortable with conservatism, and views the Reagan years as an aberration and embarassment. With the defeat of the party in the latest election, they are now free to return to their historical role as the “loyal opposition” that opposes little, and merely waits patiently for it’s share of the spoils.
I am registered Republican in my state so I can vote in the primaries. 95 times out of 100 I vote republican, for all local, state, and national elections, but I don’t consider myself a Republican and wish there was an alternative.
I never sent them dime one, nor will I ever.
I never joined the Republican Party. I’ve just voted for the republican candidate since Ronaldo Maximus, but that never required me to join any party.
I vote for a candidate who’s actions and words indicate that he/she believes in a certain set of principles, not what party they say they belong to.
It's a long process of hard work that some of us have been fighting for years. Sometimes we win and sometime we lose. But we need more conservatives like us who care enough about our nation's future to put their own time on the line. That's how you change things. Writing a letter and walking away won't do it. Frankly, it's the lazy coward's way out.
Is that an old cigarette ad?...now that you mention it, sounds familiar.
“It is the likes of Sarah, Jindal, HUnter, Tancredo etc who is the party.”
No. The GOP is the mealy-mouthed neoliberals who control the party. The individuals mentioned are outsiders and will not rise to power within the GOP.
Big BTTT!
bump
> the GOP leadership who has sat on its Big Lazy A double
> since 1995 will pay the price as well.
Unfortunately, it is WE who will pay the price.
If the Republicans are finished, then the Donkeys will rule unchallenged.
The Republican party today is further to the left of the Democrat party of Hubert H. Humphrey.
The only choice we have is between the socialists and the communists.
Hence my tagline.
You asked — “Is that an old cigarette ad?...now that you mention it, sounds familiar.”
Sure was...

See how long these ads stick with us... LOL...
EXCELLENT DOC.
HOwever, I’ve become convinced that the globalists neutered the RNC decades ago . . .
and installed in place of the cajones . . .
locator beacons and control mechanisms to direct the beast totally and only where they wished it to go, doing only what they wished it to do.
The DIM RATS were sucking at the globalist tit long before that quite eagerly in the truest of psychophant fashions.
The RNC will never get it together. They are the pied piper, we are the rats following them over the cliff. While we are following their music, people like Obammy and all his marxist, Chicago thug buddies are being put into high places.
It will take more letters like this indeed, but that's not going to change the RNC and why should anyone care. That party barely represents any of us any longer. It will take changing the hearts of men, not a party. You have to be prepared to go to Plan C, or D, or wherever we are by now. All alternatives to the RNC are just flamed and ridiculed. So here we are.
Not retreating, just voting selectively for conservatives reguardless of party.
I suggest conservatives who agree with him form the "AMERICAN HERITAGE PARTY" - based on the principles of Ronald Reagan and the Heritage Foundation.
With grassroots organization, beginning NOW, perhaps there would be enough of a groundswell of true conservative Americans to elect a true conservative as president in 2012 and/or congressional seats in 2010, with God's help. (I have a favorite 2012 candidate, but I'm not going to mention names now.)
Ain't no GOP here to speak of.
Hey Dan, some children would rather fight Republicans then fight the real enemy, Marxist Obama and his Democrat majority Congress.
These third party loons have party leaders who blend in with the Left Wing:
Anti War, 9/11 Truthers, legalize drugs, close Gitmo, some are pro amnesty, pro gay marriage.
Many on FR are trolls to divide and destroy the Republicans which only builds up the Democrats.
Their Third Party gave us Clinton and has made a possible Al Franken vistory.
Bottom line, closet Left Wing loons.
There is a certain risk to having a three party system, look what happened in Germany, it allowed Hitler to get in. People are frustrated with the two party system because they aren’t getting the results anymore that they used to, like actually getting a candidate nominated that could generate wide-spread support that represented people’s values. I think the country is too fragmented, there have been too many cultural changes. We have allowed too many illegals in. Also, abortions have really messed things up. More then the murdered babies, it has caused all kinds of cultural problems. People who believe in abortion are basically ruthless, there is no way to reason with them. Not only that we have lost an entire generation and that includes the children and grandchildren that will never be as a result. I think we are going down. Abortion is more then just murdered babies, the consequences are huge. I don’t think another political party is going to solve what is a spiritual disease. We are going down for the count and abortion is just one tiny little sin among hundreds. It’s over. Too many sociopaths in high positions of power.
