I tell ya, this is getting weirder and weirder all the time. I have never, in the life of me, seen stuff like this happen.

Actually, it happens all the time. Just not in the USA. You find this sort of "cult of personality" all over in the communist world, as well as anywhere there's been a dictator running things. Historically, this really isn't anything out of the ordinary:

Going back in history, we can see this sort of thing, complete with schoolchildren singing songs of praise, to Lenin & Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Kim Jong Ill, and his father before him, and Saddam Hussien. Interestingly enough, these leaders have often turned out to be some of the greatest butchers of innocents (usually starting with their own people) in history.

Usually, the media in those countries is brutally controlled by the state, but we may be seeing a first here, where a supposedly "free media" was actually instrumental in installing a government that does away with a "free press." But then, maybe they really never wanted to be free in the first place.

Soledad was talking with the other so-called “reporters” yesterday on CNN. It was sickening. And we’re supposed to believe they’re “objective” reporters...

Too bad she forgot to mention that President Bush also called the pilot, as everyone else had been reporting.

And that call would mean more from President Bush than Obama, since President Bush is a former fighter pilot, and in fact, while flying with the TANG, he flew one of the most dangerous and difficult to fly fighter planes that the USAF ever fielded.

I am 58, and I have never seen such worship of a human being as I’ve seen of the adoration bestowed upon this no-account grifter.

The Kennedy thing was pretty revolting: Pictures of the Sacred Heart, The Immaculate Heart, the Pope, and Jack Kennedy in Catholic working class neighborhoods.

Never in the course of human events have so many vested so much in one who has done so little.

He's actually done nothing.

Other than win the presidential election, he's actually accomplished nothing else.

If winning the election is all that's required to call somebody a hero and "accomplished", then, he better quit while he's ahead. Once heactually starts "presidenting" and doing things, then perhaps those nutty reporters will have a cause to either celebrate or castigate. My thoughts are that regardless of how things go, the liberal media will just celebrate anything good that comes out of Obama's administration, and they'll ignore the bad. In four years time, even if the country has taken a bigger turn for the worse, the Obamacrats will still be delusional enough to praise the magical one.

To the mainstream media and especially the liberal media, politics is like a sporting event where you support your team regardless of how bad they perform.

In fact, politics is a sporting event in general. Once people choose a team to support, it's going to be very hard to break them away from that support. Liberals are the worst of the bunch. They can see all the bad that their team has done, but they'll keep hoping for better in the future, even though the future means a lot more of the same. Even if they can see that the game plan is not changing and the game players are not changing, and the coaches or managers are not changing, the supporters will valiantly (stupidly?) keep hoping for different outcomes. But, the the most idiotic of them all are the people that report on the team and the players and the coaches.

As far as politics is concerned, the reporters have become fans of the liberal teams. No matter how much the liberal team gets wrong, the liberal supporters on the reporting side will keep looking at only the good, forgetting or ignoring the bad, and hoping for a different outcome with same bad ideas and the same inept people.

Oh, I think he’s the one also; but his number is 666.

“The Kennedy thing was pretty revolting: Pictures of the Sacred Heart, The Immaculate Heart, the Pope, and Jack Kennedy in Catholic working class neighborhoods.”

That was nowhere near as bad as what is going on for Odumbo. Besides, the vast majority of the adoration of JFK came after his death.

Wolfie was fantazing about how he would like to have one night alone with the messiah.

At least with Clinton, it was only the women who were pining for "knee pads."

With Obama, it's everyone in the press.

Expectations for the Dalai Bama are so high disappointment is surely just around the corner. Disallusioned Obamaniacs are just about the last hope I have left.

hee hee, you all laugh, but I have a neighbor who DOES think he’s “the One”. How would you like to deal with that?!?!?!?!?!

I'd be building a fence. But I hope that he has no idea you're not a hardcore leftist like himself, otherwise he'll put you on "a list."

“but everybody else had to join together to get out of the plane and pull together to get through that adversity. I thought that was an interesting metaphor.”

Yea Wolf, we know how all you commies at CNN pulled together to get Hussein elected (Dobbs excepted). And yes, we’ve all heard of your incestuous high fiving once “The One” was declared the winner. You are now free to tea bag him daily for the next undetermined number of years.

What’s your problem?

You don’t think voting PRESENT is heroic?

Haven’t you learned anything? You judge a man by his color rather than the content of his character!

According to an article in the NYPost today, the lovely Soledad is trying to evict a family in her co-op because she objects to being in the elevator with their smelly dog.

The family offered to use the freight elevator but Soledad said NO.

Ann Coulter did say she thought the msm wanted to have sex with O.

Clearly, she was correct in her observation.

Wow. I think that when the Obamamessiah is shown to have feet of clay, the turn around in the media is going to be awful.

People have a way of turning on their gods.

Zero cannot possibly live up to the designation of God Emperor of America.

Winston Churchill describing fighter pilots in WWII: "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few."
Very nice adaptation - but I can't quite credit you in the tagline! See below. What to do? If you could edit it down to give me four more letters, "aret", it would be perfect. ;-)
Now if you'd said:

"Never in history have so many vested so much in one who has done so little. csmusaret"

... it would have fit fine. Nice try though. ;-)

I have a similar neighbor. Yesterday I asked him if he actually got his information from MSNBC; with a big question mark inflection in my voice.

He had the grace to look embarrassed.

I agree. This is absolute insanity. This all seems like a real bad dream but we are awake. The Lamestream Media is orgasmic over the upcoming coronation. The Amelekites and the Temple of Baal come to mind here.
