From the day President Bush took office, the long knives were out for him - in ways they will not (and should not) be out for President-elect Barack Obama. The chattering class saw Dubya as a walking style crime in a cowboy suit. They hit Bush for everything - for the way he mangled syntax, for the books he read, because he worked out too much.
Note now that the buff Obama is taking office, stories gushing about Obama's daily workouts flood the channels. Oh, yes, and the same people who belittled Bush for sending troops to war even though he only served in the National Guard somehow do not seem to notice Obama's utter lack of military experience.
To trash Bush was to belong. There was little upside in supporting Bush, even if you had supported his agenda.
Most of the Democratic candidates for president in 2004 and 2008 voted for the Patriot Act - and then campaigned against it. They voted for the resolution authorizing U.S. military force in Iraq - then bolted from the war itself. Likewise with No Child Left Behind. Somehow Bush was the guy who looked bad as he withstood the heat, while his caving critics preened.
When the Dems were pushing for a humiliating retreat from Iraq and opinion polls supported troop withdrawal, Bush instead pushed for a troop surge that has made all the difference. Vice President-elect Joe Biden - who voted for the war before he was against it - visited Iraq last week. While there, he promised the Iraqis that America would not withdraw troops in a way that undermines Iraqi security. Yet that was exactly what his party advocated a year ago.

" Just nasty and unkind, spewed so nonchalantly, and reflecting a pit of hostility and animosity bereft of regard for community, self-censoring or a desire for civilized discourse.
You mean labeling anyone who criticizes GWB as a 'hater'?
"Any decent human being who wished to become a regular here, who wondered if this #1 conservative site on the web would be a welcoming place for him, couldn't help but have serious reservations, after reading a sampling of the hateful garbage you post.
Just like your fellow BushBots, you can't handle anything that isn't based on mindless praise and worship of your idol.
"I can't fathom what positive benefit it provides, here, and I shudder at the effect on the world of folks who watch us."
Shudder away Sparkplug, and take a look at the self-righteous and pompous posturing by just one of your fellow Bush-worshipers that have infested FR for years, blinded to the reality of the liberal RINO that has destroyed the Republican Party, lost all three branches of government to the 'Rats, the mentality that is compelled to label any one critical of GWB as a 'hater', a tactic that is rife among the DU and KOS crowd, slinging around those terms, 'BDSer', 'hater', Bush-hater, etc., in your zeal to cling to the non-existent conservative robes of an Emperor who failed to live up to his Oath of Office by securing our borders (resulting in 21,000+ American deaths caused by murdering illegals during the past eight years, AiT? you've got the numbers on that, care to repost them?), spending and spending like any liberal 'Rat President, even beyond the excesses of LBJ and his imaginary 'Great Society', we got 'No Child Left Behind', 'Free Prescriptions for Everybody', and of course 'No Banker or Wall Street Investor Left Behind'.
And faced with any less-than-complimentary comment regarding that sort of presidential failure to perform, the classic kneejerk reaction everytime is something like:
"So happy for the Bush haters--they have their own thread to piss and moan on the president's last hours in office and don't have to go poisoning the other threads. Have fun, haters--you don't have GWB to kick around anymore."
So happy for the Bush-worshipers, after Comrade 0bama and his crew finish demolishing the Constitution and what's left of our Republic, you can all head to Crawford Texas and see if GWB will invite you in to celebrate that inevitable Amnesty Bill, after all, didn't he tell you adoring throngs that he would "see ya at the signing?"
Bring your own 'W' Brand Ketchup, there's going to be plenty left in unsold cases coast-to-coast

And just to cover the post which you found so distressing to your sensitivities, go back and review the entire exchange between myself and death2tyrants, you have obviously missed the forest for the trees.

Looking at his history, this is all he does. He goes from thread to thread attacking Bush and using personal attacks against anyone who disagrees with him.

:’) Thanks. The truth is, I stole it from another FReeper (and I can’t remember who, I thought I’d saved the info).

Yeah, I’m sure you’re bored now. Maybe you can spend the time fantasizing about Jeb Bush in the White House.

They’re all attending the festivities or are glued to their TVs. Maybe we should take roll and see who is missing.
OTOH some freepers who were disrupting got the side bar monitor’s message the other evening. Many thanks SBM

Yeah, Im sure youre bored now. Maybe you can spend the time fantasizing about Jeb Bush in the White House. So now you're talking about "fantasizing" about men, AND imagining men getting down on their knees and servicing "your boy"?
Why don't you head back to either NAMBLA or your closet? ;)

Sorry, your projecting your own depraved desires does nothing to hide the foul life you lead.
Aren’t you a few letters behind on your correspondence with Bernie Ward?
