It is, however, a revelation of the Left's attitude toward violence in general: if you agree with them, it's justified

Plenty of anti-smoking nazis on the right, too. Personally, I am sick of the whole lot of them and I am not a smoker.

Go for it, I will do the same.

Man, this place is going to be a wreck for the next few days. Not me house, the dang town!

Try it for kicks and giggles.

It works for women too. If done right, it doesn’t matter how big or strong the other person is.

In Hapkido I’ve had 90 pound women get carried away and almost break my wrist. I had to beg for mercy.

Martial arts is compulsory mandatory education for my kids.

OBTW, the Heir is now on his way home from Arlington Hospital.

He is going to live, just sick as heck. Sinus infection gone nuts.

That scared me, a bit.

I told y’all to head over here to the Eastern Shore.

I’m looking forward to watching paint dry on Tuesday :)

My daughter has been taking TaiKwan Do for about 2 years or so now.

LOL - good idea. Your house is probably safer than mine.

Question, what's to stop his right from loading up on your jaw in that scenario?

Where are the bar ownerÂ’s property rights? When it comes to tobacco --- he ain't got none.

Sadly, you're right. I'm sure this is what the Founders wanted. /sarc

Once they get rid of the smokers, they'll find some other reason to bully people.

You are absolutely right! Smokers are the current accepted target of those with a propensity to hate. For the bigots and haters among us, smokers are the new niggers.

My daughter’s 8 1/2. should be a Black Belt this summer. I’m a former Marine and almost always armed. Mrs Mag’s probably the best protected non-government woman in S. AZ [;-)

I have a hard time understanding those smokers that do not smoke inside their own homes.

I don't smoke and I allow smoking in my home. I will not make my friends go stand out in freezing cold weather. They take enough abuse without me piling on.

Good question.

It’s the execution. If done right, (and that’s the key with everything) his wrist is bent back in half a second before he even thinks about that.

Once you have control of the wrist and it’s bent backwards and he is squealing in pain, you can lead him anywhere you want.

You’re right. If it’s done wrong than you have to resort to plan B. There are plenty of other moves.

That’s the decent thing to do. My Dad never smoked but he would never let his Brothers in Law stand outside.

WOW!!!! Good on the women in your house. I’m super impressed about your daughter. Mine enjoys the martial arts, but opted for softball over that, she had to pick one or the other because of scheduling conflicts.

You sound like most of my non-smoking friends. In most, I don’t smoke, but most of them do have a family member that smokes and if they light up, I will.

My goodness, upsdriver, you are a throwback to a better time!

I certainly do remember people who always had an ashtray or two tucked away in the drawers of endtables “just in case” a smoker dropped by. They would come out when company came over and go back in the drawer when they left.

**sigh** I miss those days when people actually got along.

Regards,

PS: If, on the rare occasion no ashtray appeared on the coffee table, the visitor did a remarkable thing: He didn’t smoke! Imagine that!

My kids don’t take karate or anything...but both are fencers and the blades move at alarming speeds. You should see the looks our neighbors give them when they’re out back “practicing” on each other. Does that count? LOL

Oh, and they’re both EXCELLENT marksmen.

Regards,
