Casey Arneson may not get the award for Most Righteous Nonsmoker of the Year, but he should probably be a nominee -- depending how you feel about the continuing war between smokers and nonsmokers.
Arneson, 22, won the battle outside of the Depot tavern, at 627 W. Main St., in the early morning hours of Dec. 27, but he may have lost his personal war when he was charged Friday with battery for punching a smoker.

Good to see you Sunshine!!!
So there is only one entrance to your building?
I smoke where smoking is allowed. I am pretty cool but I don’t control the wind. Further if you walk through a smoking area keep you big mouth shut and you will be ok unless you are every bit the sissy you appear to be.
YUM -— buttercream!!!!!!!!!
I spent nearly the entire day in the kitchen today -— and never did make any dessert. That’s gonna be tomorrow’s undertaking -— blueberry pie!
Blueberry? Did you say, “blueberry?”
Please Freepmail me some. :-)
Not really hard to understand - we smoke in the house sometimes, but mostly not.
It helps having a seperate building for these things - the studio.
The studio now has a beer machine - an old coke machine full of beer.
I like it.
LOL.
And if the owner of the bar in the story wanted to smoke in HIS OWN BAR THAT HE OWNS he couldn’t. Where are the bar owner’s property rights?
Facsism rears its head in so many insidious ways. And with so many “justifications”.
Why thank you! After burning wood for the last three days, my house could use a better fragrance! I love candles!
Oh, I know. I found that out the hard way a couple of years ago.
Some guy tried to physically make me put out my cigarette.
You just have to be careful to make sure the other guy makes the first move so that you can rightfully claim self defense. You don’t want to get dragged into court facing aggravated assault charges like this loser.
The guy grabbed my arm....
Here’s a simple move that actually works, thank God. We’ve practiced it enough. Let me give you the dance steps....
He grabs my right arm with his left,
Left hand reaches over to grab his hand,
Thumb presses on the fleshy part between thumb and forefinger,
Right hand slams against his wrist,
Right foot steps left,
Bend hand back till his fingers are touching his forearm
Push him to ground
It hurts...bad....but there is no permanent physical damage.
LOL!!!!!!
The house smells of tomato sauce right now! I made a huge pot of sauce with both hot and sweet sausage and also meatballs. The kidlet and I also made fresh ravioli, and stuffed shells. I’m going to start repainting the kitchen on Monday, so now I don’t have to worry about cooking for the week, everything is in the freezer and just be tossed in the oven!!!
LOL - sure. We are midway between two metro station, in the DC area.
Watch out for coronation traffic.
When it comes to tobacco --- he ain't got none.
Wow. That sounds gooooood.
I’ll have to practice that dance routine with hubby -— one never knows when such a routine will come in handy!!!
Watch out for the sewing machine, Dancer.
Oh, well maybe not. I’m not much into crowds. How about I just hoist one for you and we both miss the traffic. Sounds like a winner to me!
You know me, I don’t seem to know how to cook “A” meal for the 3 of us!!! I made enough today to feed us, your clan, and send home a few days worth with your oldest -— and still have leftovers for us!!!
Thank goodness I have a big freezer :)
It now has it’s own table, no worries about it being underfoot ever again :)
