"The co-founder of the radical anti-war group Code Pink [Jodie Evans] has bundled more than $50,000 for Sen. Barack Obamas presidential campaign, and pro-troops groups are demanding that he return the money."

From National Public Radio (NPR), August 29, 2006:
"Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has been visiting countries such as China, Iran and Russia as part of an effort to build a 'strategic alliance' of interests not beholden to the United States. He considers the United States his arch enemy.":

I agree with you about the third parties and their funding. From the time he was selected as the nominee to 11/5/08, I threw all of my support behind him.
However, now is the time to find a conservative primary candidate who can unseat him, usher in his retirement, and win in the 2010 general.
Some people might think of it as a pipe dream, but to me it seems quite possible.
Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!
We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-peoples movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all peoples movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.
The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and peoples unity.
There are thousands of experiences that we all have had in these momentous days, some large, some small, all of which express the enormity of change in thinking and readiness for involvement that is underway and that steels us for the battles ahead.
The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.

Former congressman J.D. Hayworth should take him on in the primary
I was curious also but I found this article from back in 2007:

She is fourth paragraph under news. Maybe the three son comment was a typo (ommission?) that just got bigger as it went around cyberspace.

It almost sounds as though we aren't supposed to hear of a connection between Leon and Linda.
Can I get me a gallon of that stuff?
Need to stop the pain.

"The U.S. has a hidden agenda in the war on drugs," Panetta said. "It is getting and keeping control of Colombia's resources: gold, silver, copper. Colombia may have the largest oil reserve in the Americas. The U.S. wants to control it."
Sorry, donna, mnehrling, I provided the wrong url at the end of this on an earlier post. Here it is again with the correct url at the end.

I suggest we do a screen capture on that Springfield University article which I and 'mnehrling' just linked to (the original one of course from the S.U. website)

Panetta married Sylvia Marie Varni, they live on a walnut farm in Carmel Valley, California. They have three grown sons: Christopher, Carmelo, and James.
No daughters, this "Linda Panetta" is a straight up hustle and fraud.
You better call Springfield University in Mass and let them know right away. Also the American Spectator magazine.
