Obama: 'Dramatic action' Needed Now to Fix Economy

BEDFORD HEIGHTS, Ohio – President-elect Barack Obama made a pitch for his massive economic stimulus plan at a Midwestern factory that makes wind turbine parts, saying Friday his plan would make smart investments in the country's future and create solid jobs in up-and-coming industries.

"Renewable energy isn't something pie in the sky. It's not part of a far-off future. It's happening all across America right now," Obama told workers at the Cardinal Fastener & Specialty Co. in this Cleveland suburb. "It can create millions of additional jobs and entire new industries if we act right now."

Just days before taking the oath of office as the 44th president, Obama used the factory as a backdrop as he sought to generate support from the public — constituents of skeptical Republicans and Democrats in Congress — for his pricey plan to pull the country out of recession.

Seeking to counter critics' claims of excessive spending and too few tax cuts, Obama cast the package as necessary to create long-lasting, well-paying jobs in industries such as alternative energy, and help hard-hit industrial states such as Ohio now and in the future.

I have a new O-Log...it burns all the time...keeps me feeling warm and fuzzy...and it never burns out.....it's a welcome change from my old white oak and locust logs where I had to work to keep them burning, cut more, split more, buy mean ol gasoline...luckily the gubmint gives me free O-logs...I just have to work 14 hrs / day, 6 days / week instead of 9 hrs and 5 days per week.

Opy-O's face is on every log wrapper......every log comes with its own rap cd for renewable energy relaxation. There's a small Opy-O Log deduction of 7% on my pay stub every week....it's listed as 'BS'.

These are the words of a bureaucrat, a chairwarmer, a politician on the take for all he can get. Talking about work and getting things done are two different things. We need cheap, reliable energy and adjectives like 'sustainable and renewable' just get in the way of getting any job done on time and under budget.

I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody’s part.
And he’s just the guy to do it.

Since the DoD is to be demolished under Zero...we will still have a dept. on the books called Dod --- Department of Deceit. Scammer, liar, fraud, ID theft software is currently being written with only the feds having one lie detector. All systems running the software will be the size of the Blackberry and made by Lenovo in Shanghai. The Dept is expected to grow to employ 26 million uneducated un-inoculated illegals that put stuff on paper because they can't read and don't won't to learn Engwish.

You hadn't heard / read that? Now that's drastic change.

BEDFORD HEIGHTS, Ohio

Back in the day, Bedford Heights was reputed to have a good number of residents that were members of the mafia. Whether true or not, I do not know.

Since enviro’s and others have been pushing so called renewable energy sources for several decades now and for all practical purpose nothing has been found made or discovered that can feasibally replace our current energy systems why is it not pie in the sky and something from the far off future?
I was praying that Barack Obama was not as stupid as his Hope and Change campaign made him out to be. Looks like my prays have gone unanswered this time.........

"Renewable energy isn't something pie in the sky."

"Renewable Energy" is code for "your electric rates are going to double in 2 years". I wonder if the sheeple know this.
