This thread, is the result an offhand prompt from Rummy Chick, in a post about 10 days ago. If it has been posted before, I shall happily request it's removal : P
I actually signed on over there, to support the freedom to buy and consume whatever kind of food I want to... Sad, aint it, that we have come to this? And I figured the termites in the woodwork angle, wasnt a bad idea either. The old, hold your friends close, and your enemies closer ; ) It is definitely worth a look, although, the site is slower than Christmas, and today at five is the end of the voting.
Here is a link, that should go to my preferences... though try as I might, I could not find 10 to support, and fair warning - most of the top rated ideas, will ruin your day.

Thanks for the nudge ; }
Probably to many Conservative Ideas being posted.
Some of us have been doing “intel work” on DU, MoveOn, Democrats.com, etc. for YEARS. . .
Besides, it’s like fantasy role-playing. . .only FUNNIER. . .
Lol! Yes, there are definitely more than a few ringers in there, still laughing.
The link is still working for me, but it may be because it has my number, so to speak ; } If you are still game, to go to the ideas main page, here is my crib sheet.

If you are voting on this issue, there is something you need to know about this website. When 1st round voting ended on 12/31/08, there was an Immigration issue entitled Enforce our Immigration Laws that was in 2nd place by vote count. On 1/2/09, the people who run this website deleted this 2nd place issue, and the 3rd & 4th place immigration issues moved up a notch.
I think that it is important that you should know this before you vote since there is no guarantee that this issue OR your vote will ultimately matter since it is obvious that the people who run this site have an agenda. An agenda that includes removing issues that they do not want to see ultimately make to the Top 10 list that (supposedly) will be presented to Pres-elect Obama even if that issue got overwhelming support.
This website promotes change for the better, but apparently integrity does not play into that theme. In GOOGLEing this site, I have also read where peoples accounts and/or comments are also being censored / deleted by the website. They were not inappropriate comments, just opinions that were not shared by the people who run this site.
Please monitor this issue carefully it may not make it to the Top 10, even if it rightfully should by vote count.
Well, let me assure you - you all deserve gold medals!! The mindset of the left, used to stun me, but now, in light of this past November’s “revoltin’ development”, it is pretty scary.
Thanks for all the years in the trenches,
Tatt
Interesting comment.
Btw, this link loads faster for me. I presume it is the same thing
http://citizensbriefingbook.change.gov/
I noticed mine link is change.gov
versus
change.org
Is this the same organization?
Yep. I saw MANY comments addressing the manipulation of the people’s voices, and choices. That part I find sad, yet hopeful. A lot of well meaning people, are beginning to realize that Obama is nothing more than a politician, who’s highest priority, is securing his own power...
Reality is a real pain sometimes.
Hmmmmm... That took me back a second, but I think the difference is that the org. is a leftover from Obama’s campaign site? I will do some looking around on your link, and see if me sign up information is viable.
Now change.org isn’t even loading at all so I can’t compare the two. You have read change.org so you can go to my link and see if it is the same thing.
Grrrrr... They have never heard of me at the gov. site. More detective work is necessary, to see if the issues are the same.
Sigh. I will update shortly...
I would think change.gov would be a governmental site.

Can’t find an end date on it yet on the .gov site.

“Change.org is a social entrepreneurship venture based in San Francisco, CA. The company was founded by Ben Rattray in the summer of 2005, and with the support of a friend from Stanford, Mark Dimas, and a founding team of Darren Haas, Rajiv Gupta, and Adam Cheyer, Change.org launched the first version of its site in 2007. “
I would go with my .gov link to vote and get your issue in the Citizens briefing book.
Ok. Upon a quick go round on the gov. site, it is clear, imho, that more shenanigans are afoot.
It appears that wonderboy is playing yet another shell game with the masses, (no surprise here), leading them to believe they have some say, when of course, we know, they have none. On top of that, he is dividing their efforts by using the two websites; two websites, two different sets of issues, all listed under the one, “ideas for change”, heading.
So. I will get the heads up out to my small farm/whole foods folks, to prepare for the possibility of a VERY unpleasant surprise.
Sometimes, it really stinks to be right.
And thank you for catching that on the org. gov. discrepancy! It is like most bad news, not something you want to know, but generally, you are better off when you do ; }

Will do. Thanks again,

Here is what the cached version of change.org says about Obamas Citizen Briefing book.
Pretty crappy if one doesn’t count for the other as you saw in your case but they lead you to believe it does.
“The Obama Administration’s latest awesome step for a more open and citizen engaged administration is the launching of the “Citizen’s Briefing Book.” The Citizen’s Briefing Book gives anyone the ability to post an idea and then vote and comment on others. Pretty simply, the ideas with the most votes and comments will become the core of the Citizen’s Briefing Book, which will be delivered to President-elect Obama after he is sworn in.
Obviously, this is pretty exciting to us over at Change.org. The idea is clearly similar to the core idea behind the Ideas for Change in America campaign. We started Ideas to show that every American has a stake in improving our country and improving our world, and to make sure that everyone has the tools to work together toward a better future.
The exciting thing about the Ideas for Change campaign is that we’ll be working to find nonprofits and other stakeholders to launch campaigns around the winning ideas, making sure that the voice of average citizens stays on the public agenda. Head over to www.change.org/ideas to vote for your top ten!
Kudos to the Obama team for being so on top of the game so early. I’m excited about how entrepreneurial - maybe even socially entrepreneurial, you might say? - they transition team has been thus far, and can’t wait to see what’s next.”
