A desire by both men to secure their places in history might forge an unlikely pairing.
BY RICK SANTORUM
Obama also faces the reality of needing at least one Republican senator to join him to break filibusters. Many speculate that three moderate Republicans will provide the necessary Senate votes and the imprimatur of bipartisanship.
. . . . .
But I believe Obama has an ace in the hole among Senate Republicans. This unlikely ace can deliver not only the GOP moderates needed to break a filibuster, but also the stamp of bipartisanship: the 2008 GOP standard bearer, John McCain.
. . . . .
In McCain's mind, however, losing the presidency will not be the final chapter of his life story. He knows the path to "Big Media" redemption. Working with the man who vanquished him in November will show them all the real McCain again.

> Why change? The GOP seem very happy being in minority status. They worked 8 years to make that happen.
Here’s what kills me. We had BOTH the Presidency AND the Congress for SIX UNINTERRUPTED YEARS.
What happened? Big chunks of money went to the government, which expanded of course. No pork filled bill was too bloated for Bush to sign. We escaped a disastrous amnesty bill only because WE THE PEOPLE roared and shook our pitchforks.
Not one fiscally responsible bill! Tax cuts, sure, but no government reduction to back it up. Now we’re in hock to the teeth with the ChiComs, and another huge govt. expansion is looming with a solid wall of Dim “leadership” buttressed by pansy-waisted traitors in the GOP.
It wasn’t just McCain’s sellout which doomed the GOP. It’s the last 8 years. They blew a historic opportunity to remake the country and make it sane, and left a legacy of a GOP in shambles, and a country on the brink.
I’m beginning to think we need to start over, too. Screw these guys. Screw ‘em.
Good for her!!
“Why doesnt John Mccain just do the obvious and switch parties.......”
Because he had/has a better chance of destroying conservatism being an “R”.
Hussein won’t have to depend upon Juan for votes. The senate “runneth over” with sell-out RINOs.

Why would McCain be considered “unlikely?” Of all of the Republican Senators, if Fauxbama needed ONE....who would NOT suspect McLiberal?
I stand corrected! But I doubt we will be seeing candidates like this anymore from the Dems.
Remember just 4 months ago how we were villified and cajoled by the McCainbots for refusing to support this turd? HAHAHAHAHA!!
This election was definitely an Oceans Eleven scam.
Ah yes, the McCain mugwhore trolls...
In the primary, a guy with no money or backing got over 30% of the vote. That should embarrass Lindsey.
I can even remember way, way back when we were lacerated for not backing Ghouliani b/c that meant Hillary would be elected president.
Republican politicians are totally impotent against Liberalism.
Secret?
No surprise here. McPain is proof that not only the American people are brain dead but so are Republican primary voters!

Not possible, as people in AZ believe there is a law requiring them to inflict McPain on us all.
