There was a time when it was considered poor taste for comedians to attack a current President of the United States, but that day ended with SNL and Richard Nixon. The world has since flipped, and now people worry when the comedians are not ripping the President. Thus far, most comedians are having difficulty targeting President-Elect Obama.
The reason is simple; most comedians are liberals. They just don't see anything worthy of mockery in him. Case in point, this loon, who actually gets paid to "direct talent" for Comedy Central.
Comedy Central Director of Talent JoAnn Grigioni says she sympathizes with comics who haven't yet found Obama's soft spots...
''I think people who may be having a hard time skewering Obama are experiencing that because right now his flaws, those that would be comedy fodder, are not so obvious,'' Grigioni said.
This is ridiculous at face value. People whose business is to know who and what is funny are able to see the humor in anything. The only time they are unable to do so is when what might be funny to a lot of people is actually deeply offensive to themselves.
Why don't we help Grigioni and her comics out? Here are just a few of Obama's rather obvious flaws and/or things that would be good fodder for comedians to mock him:

Obama is target rich for mockery.
But they love the messiah, so when they do get around to it, expect the kind of respectful humor that Bob Hope used to do.
“He thinks there are 57 states.”
Well, there ARE 57 states. In the Organization of Islamic Countries.
The race card has handcuffed them.
The idiot way he poses for the camera with his nose up in the air is pretty funny.
Barry is a walking joke. But the real secret is that they’re afraid of him. He’s already started cracking down on news interviewers he doesn’t like, and I’m sure the message is getting out.
We’re I’m from, being a gay coke whore is pretty funny.
The man is a grown up Stevie Urkel for Christsakes.
And he is black.
I know the last part scares the cr@p out of white boys but the black comics don’t seem to have a problem with any other brother. Let’s see how funny Chris Rock et al can be.
Obamanation looks like a sock monkey.
He's still on TV?
Been crusin' lately?
Didn't Nixon appear on "Laugh In"?
*chuckle
I think he developed the pimp walk about the same time that he developed a modified black ghetto accent, about half way through the campaign. He thought it would give him, being the half-white, foreign born son of a foreign-born Muslim African graduate student, a little more legitimacy as “African American.” The problem is that he’s not an African American, as that term is intended, and nothing can make him one.
I guess we should get ready for four years of Sarah Palin jokes.
If you recall in the 1990s, it was Newt Gingrich who was demonized and therefore satirized in the media.
Didn’t Mort Sahl lose a career over jokes about JFK. And Norm MacDonald was fired from SNL because of Clinton jokes. Oh, yeah the next few years are going to still have plenty of jokes about Republicans but will be a wasteland when it comes to Obama jokes.
Sarah Palin, Bush, heck they're still making jokes about Dan Quayle for Pete's sake!
A quick search shows that candidate Richard Nixon appeared briefly on Laugh-In on Sept 16, 1968 to say ‘Sock it to me?’
No cruises other than short ones on fishing boats. You been?
