The ACLU announced in a news release that the United States District Court Judge M. Casey Rodgers granted a preliminary injunction late Friday in the highly publicized American Civil Liberties Union case seeking to prevent Santa Rosa County School District officials from proselytizing and conducting other religious activities in public schools.
The courts order requires school officials to discontinue myriad policies and practices that promote religion throughout district schools...
...The preliminary injunction entered in Friday by the Court prohibits all district officials from:
Promoting or sponsoring prayers during school-sponsored events, including graduation
Planning or financing religious baccalaureate services
Holding school-sponsored events at religious venues when alternative venues are reasonably available
Permitting school officials to promote their personal religious beliefs and proselytize students in class or during school-sponsored events and activities

but a class that has students dress like arabs, take muslim names, read the Koran and stuff.... thats just fine because its ‘educational’
I highly doubt that the school officials were “proselytising”....
The tipping point is near. At SOME point, the whole house of cards is going to crash. After that, it ain’t going to be pretty.
How’s this for a “getback”: Next time a municipality gets one of these crazy lawsuits, respond by sending fire marshalls, building inspectors, police, licensing, etc. EVERY day until they stop harrassing Americans and taking away our civil rights.
From the article:
> Our goal is and will always be to remain neutral and not
> prohibit, nor promote religion in school. Our mission is
> always to protect children and their rights and to
> educate them, [ACLU lawyer] Wyrosdick says.
Right.
Only brainwashed moonbats could believe such a toilet-full.
Judicate all you want. As long as there are pop quizzes, there will be prayer in school.
ACLU... perhaps the most open enemies of Christ in America.
You cannot be neutral about the existence of God.
Yesterday Lars Larson was talking about a new district attorney in Oregon holding a native American ritual to ‘cleanse’ (smudge ceremony) his office of past ‘bad things’.....
Where is the ACLU when this kind of nonsense happens...and yes, it is a religious ceremony.
Lincoln County District Attorney Rob Bovett joins Lars to discuss the ceremony held in his office

“ACLU-Anti-Christian Lunatics Union”
I prefer: American Commie Lovers Union.
Militant
And Satan fiddles ever louder...
If the judge is banning religion in public schools, will they still teach global warming theories?
The American Civil Liberties Union who I consider direct offspring of Hitler and Stalin have one purpose and that is the total destruction of the United States. They were formed to do just that. And have prove that they will continue to destroy our freedoms using our tax money to do so, as they use it to live in their big boats, large cars and big homes. They are total SCUM, if I had the money I would sue them every day.
Wrong coast (although I had exactly the same thoughts until I read the order).
This is Santa Rosa, FLORIDA, not Santa Rosa, California.
This is what happens when judges insert shibboleths into opinions, such as in Everson, Brown and Roe, and courts use these definitions in deciding cases. What happens is a conflict between local law and custom and the courts, where judge are forced to ignore the factual situation and force people to conform with their opinions. This is why First Amebndment law is in such a mess, and why judges forbid harmless practices that offend people with an ax to grind.
Once again, Christians are the target of judges and shysters wishing for all to worship the bench and big government. Sadly, they are winning the war on freedom.
The enemy of Christians and freedom in general. The tyrants in blackrobes bear a strange resemblance to the dictators of yesteryear.
“Congress shall make no law respectingan establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof:”
This is school, not Congress.
