Bring it on, we’ll burn their ass.
They will think twice after the coming backlash.
They will be suffering whiplash. (not Snidley Whiplash but possibly Snotty Whiplash)

He’s ignoring the natural citizenship part of the Constitution. Why would we believe he would respect the first or second amendments?
Does anyone actually believe that he will actually respect an oath to support and defend the Constitution?

As I recall, if the NICS does not come back with an answer within 72 hours, you can release the gun. If you call up NICS, and their system is down, then you did your part. The clock begins!

Given Obama’s brief history in Illinois. As President he will use every means available to him to amend the constitution to suit his needs.
The first step will be to deprive every American the right of self protect by rescinding the Second Amendment. Then the First Amendment will be taken away. Already the UN has voted in affirmation that freedom of speech is illegal.
Obama tends to agree with every resolution the UN passes when it comes to restricting human rights.

My local dealers often have more guns for sale in the store than are offered in the whole of a typical gun show. Most are new and offered at favorable prices. That is especially true when I'm a regular, cash paying customer. My FFLs keep a watch for special firearms that they know are of interest to me. I agree that the "shows" look more like weekend swap meets full of crap. The last SLC show I botherd to patronize was easily 1/3 swap meet crap. That's a poor return on a 400 mile round trip and $20 entrance fee. I "rescued" the trip by using a 40% off coupon at Borders and enjoyed a nice Brazilian BBQ dinner. The nearest Borders is 110 miles away from my house as well.

They will think twice after the coming backlash. Exactly. I've never purchased a firearm strictly to make a statement, but I think I will be in the very near future. Although not completely a political statement. I predict crime will be rising for the next 4 years. I'm thinking a short Mossberg 12ga for the house (590A1 or 500 tactical cruiser), and a Glock 19 and CC permit for me.

Obama is a sneaky, little bitch. He can promise not to take anyone’s guns away while making it virtually impossible to buy, sell, exchange or use guns and ammunition. His nomination of Holder is step one of that process.

Borders? The book store?Yes. All we have is a tiny, poorly stocked "Waldens" in our local mall. I have to make most of my purchases online.

Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer, a Democrat, promised reporters last August about Obama: He ain't going to take your gun away. He ain't ever going to take your gun away. Joe Biden made similar statements while campaigning in places such as rural southwest Virginia. An Obama adviser, Stanford law professor Larry Lessig, said on Hugh Hewitt's national radio show last fall that "I think that he has always been an individual rights person on the Second Amendment." Another adviser, Professor Cass Sunstein at Harvard, told Time Magazine in June: "Obama has always expressed a belief that the Second Amendment guarantees a private right to bear arms." The list goes on. It was a constant theme of the campaign.
Just before the November election, the Los Angeles Times questioned the honesty of those who questioned Obamas stand on guns, because "Obama does not oppose gun rights. He has made a point of pounding this home to rural audiences, telling them he has no intention of taking their guns away: not their shotguns, not their handguns, not anything."What a bunch of happy horse apples.
From Obama's transition site, change.gov (Search for "assault or "gun")
Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

Last time I bought a rifle (yeah, the one that I sold to someone a couple of days later, wink)
I had to wait for about 20 minutes for a response from the National “Instant” Check System that said that I was “authorized” to purchase a firearm.
The article states that during the Clinton years, this system was “down” for extended periods. Dealers cannot sell you a firearm without an “OK” response from NICS - effectively, licensed dealers are shut down if the system is “out” for some reason.

and that he wouldnt do anything to take away peoples gunsGeez, can't people parse a phrase any more? 0bama won't lift a finger to take away people's guns, he'll just lift a few fingers to sign some laws, and then have tens of thousands of federal LEOs do it on that behalf. He won't take away so much as one person's gun himself.

Yes, there’s a group called The Pink Pistols which is explicitly that. Incidentally, they were interviewed by the NRA for one of the NRA’s magazines. They said they took a lot more heat from liberals for advocating gun ownership than from conservatives for being gay. Which shows the lie about conservatives being hateful bigots and liberals being tolerant and accepting and tolerating other ways of life and points of view. (In case there was any doubt.)

I agree, gun shows have become showcases for cheap ninja cr@p and airsoft replicas. As for the actual guns on display, I greet them like old friends, with the sky high asking prices and the resentment at any attempt to dicker.
As for ammo, since it’s not yet Obamacized and can be ordered direct, I ply the internet. Most dealers also think their stock ammo is loaded with bullets of silver and gold. But online, there is at least some competition.
