President George W. Bush will give a farewell address to the nation Thursday night, billed by the administration as a chance to reflect on his tenure and welcome Barack Obama without fighting old battles one last time.
Bush will deliver the speech, expected to run 10 to 15 minutes, from the ornate East Room of the White House. He will have a small audience of people in the room, chosen for their stories of personal courage.
White House press secretary Dana Perino said Monday that Bush will "uphold the tradition of presidents using farewell addresses to look forward ....
*snip*
Perino said the speech will be the last scheduled public event for Bush as president until he appears on the North Portico to greet Obama on Inauguration Day, which is Jan. 20.

An announcement doesn’t require an opinion,

From there hell go on his apology tour.
Sleep well. However I suspect President Bush will not be one to hit the tour circuit but rather remain off stage. It’s not his demeanor to seek that kind of attention, imo.

He will also give America a great pep talk and beg us to become obamites and embrace the ONE WORLD ORDER. Yes, I am cynical and yes I was a Bush bot... but those days have faded... like horhay’s Conservatism.

There is nothing stated about an 'announcement', you posted this under the topics 'breaking news' and 'government' and it shows up under 'News/Activism'.
You don't want opinions, start a religious thread.

He should give a “Farewell, America” address...
Thank you Mr. President for all you’ve done for our nation. Unfortunately, a Kenyan Marxist Muslim is about to screw it all up.

You have a fixation with 'twinkies' I see, so check it out, you want to play the whole 'who was here first game', I was on FR long before you came along in 2006.
Have you been wearing those BushBot kneepads that long? Your circulation must be suffering.
But slurp it up some more chump.

You used the word Noob. Not me twinkie. Pounding your weakling chest like you have something to say. So what, Kennedy and Kerry have been in Congress longer than Pearce and Coburn. And that means jack sh*t, twinkie. I do not kneel for any man, but I have seen your head a bobbing for the terrorist appeaser Ron Paul.

President Bush was an excellent CIC which is and should be the primary responsibility of the POTUS. He did what he had to do vis a vis the jihadists and stood fast in Iraq and Afghanistan when all the Congressional heroes jumped ship due to the popular opinion of idiots, loons and marxists.
For that, I salute him and thank him.

Recent ex-presidents have started their side projects/foundations/tax dodges. You know, the Habitat for Humanity, Klintoon Save the World Foundation, Points of Lite Institute. Any guesses what Dubya’s tax avoidance scheme will be?

Ill give him a C+ as a president. And, as a member of Generation Y, I give him an F, since now I will get to spend my life paying and paying and paying for his incompetence, ineptitude, and arrogance. So, here's to the trillions and trillions that I and my family will pay to support his bailouts, amnesties, foreign escapades, and the largest expansion of Big Government since FDR and LBJ.

In 2000 I decided to support George Bush because he seemed to have what I deem the #1 qualification to be POTUS: character. We never know what will face our presidents; we have to count on their good character and judgment. With that, everything else should fall in place.
I’ve not agreed with President Bush on every issue, and on some was disappointed, but on the big issues of the day, he was solid. History will be kind to him; his critics will be collectively either forgotten or a footnote.
God bless him and Laura and may they enjoy many productive years ahead. Maybe we’ll watch him jump in a few years.

Doing fine. Busy as hell. Some of our bank-owned listings are getting multiple offers inside a week.
That said, I have this feeling you should not fall asleep next to any strange plants.
I feel something very bad is coming. Knawing. Cannot explain it.
