He said he will not use the Bible as his text, saying:

"While that is a holy and sacred text to me, it is not for many Americans," Robinson said. "I will be careful not to be especially Christian in my prayer. This is a prayer for the whole nation."

Truly a man fit for the task.

It doesn’t matter to me. I won’t be listening, watching or in any way participating in the “festivities”. Perversion and apostacy is clearly OK with this incoming administration.

I think he was misquoted here. He is part of the “hole nation”.

Never play chess with an Episcopalian - they can’t tell a bishop from a queen.

Not smart. Instead of being seen as inclusive, he’s going to wind up offending everybody.

“This is a prayer for the WHOLE nation..”

But...”my great honor to be there representing ....all of us in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.”

A contradiction: “The whole nation” = 100%; The queer crowd = 2% of “the nation”.

It is encouraging that the president-elect has chosen this spiritual hero for all Americans

Hell and Death, this is bad.

I will be careful not to be especially Christian in my prayer.

No danger of that since he isn't one anyway!

Robinson: I will be careful not to be especially Christian in my prayer

Paul the Apostle (Romans 1:16): For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation

Luke the Apostle (Luke 9:26): If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

If a heterosexual father of two young daughters left his wife for a newer, younger sex partner, and proundly boasted about that decision, I doubt there would be much support for promoting the adulterer to the position of Bishop. However, since Robinson left his wife for another man, the Episcopal leadership decided that his promotion would represent "diversity".

It's a shame the church didn't consider following Jesus to be as relevant as political correctness in choosing a leader: In a well known passage from Matthew 19, Jesus said, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery." While Robinson didn't quite marry another woman, I think Jesus's stance on the issue can be inferred from these words.

“Robinson said last month the choice of Warren was like a slap in the face. In an interview with the Concord Monitor, he said he doesn’t believe Obama invited him in response to the Warren criticism but said his inclusion won’t go unnoticed by the gay and lesbian community.”

His comments speak volumes to me for where his heart and faith really are and they obviously aren’t in GOD! For him as a bishop to push his gay agenda is just sickening to me. I just don’t get why we are supposed to be so accepting of their beliefs but they aren’t of ours...and loudly and repeatedly say so at every opportunity.

They keep pushing for equality at the expense of everyone else’s. His comments only inflame the situation even more and he can’t even see that. They want to voice their gayness loudly and openly while we are supposed to keep our opinion to ourselves.

If he isn’t going to say a Christian prayer, then what’s the point?

I hope Obama doesn’t have any Catholic prelates waiting in the wings to anoint him, but I would not put it past him . . . or past some of them, for that matter.

Robinson said he doesn't yet know what he'll say, but he knows he won't use a Bible.

"While that is a holy and sacred text to me, it is not for many Americans," Robinson said. "I will be careful not to be especially Christian in my prayer. This is a prayer for the whole nation."

A so-called bishop who never heard of the First Commandment, and who denies that Christ is the Savior. He is just perfect for the installation of a muslim as POTUS.
