Final presser of GW Bush,
begins somewhat jovial.

Ditto
“His exit won’t be soon enough.”
I expect to personally raise the stock of Tylenolpm so I can attempt to sleep nights for the next 4-8 years.
You’re gonna be longing to have him back. If you think Obammy is going to be better, you deserve what you’re gonna get.
Does anyone remember anyone in the press asking Clinton his GREATEST mistakes at his final conference.....
I love this President. My only regret was that his administration didn’t fight harder in terms of PR and communications. It would have made a big difference.
Immigration again...”I should have proposed immigration reform instead of social security reform after the 04 election...”
Basically another Bush conference of misjoined thoughts put into a monotone response.
Taking no questions on pardons...tells me those border guys better expect to do their time, this jerk is not going to pardon them.
he is on fire today. good stuff.
I’ll probably need something a bit stronger - my son’s ship deploys next week...
Me too. He’s done a good job in a hard time.
God bless him.
President Bush is defending his policies, Katrina, etc. I wish he would have been like this all along!! He is giving a very good press conference.
Thank you for serving President Bush. I respect you more today than the four other times I had voted for you.
This TEXAN welcomes you and Mrs. Bush back home.
I applaud your service to our country.
I am going to miss President Bush.

^^
Great point!
Then legal policies were put into place to connect the dots and the same ones were screaming about that.
He's right. He needs to tell this press corps what they should do to themselves but he has too much class for that. He will leave with dignity.
This guy has taken abuse and if I have a criticism of him, it's that he failed to communicate sufficiently with the American people and he refused to defend himself.
Long live President Bush
He made his point just by saying that.
"Some days happy some days not so happy but every day joyous."
Contrary to the feelings of some on this small thread, your sentiments are shared by millions, including me.
...didnt fight harder in terms of PR and communications. It would have made a big difference.

You are so right! I have been bemoaning that for years. I think he went about doing the right thing, thinking that these clowns in the press would finally do the right thing and actually tell the truth about his administration. He has been naive about this.
Me too. He has been far from perfect but he handled the job well - and it's about the most difficult job in the world.
Eight years of an openly hostile press and outright hatred from many of the very people he is sworn to protect and defend.
Tears!!
