His exit won't be soon enough.

I hope you understand what you're saying. President Bush has taken more criticism for defending the Constitution, defending the homeland, and doing the best he can WHILE DEALING WITH CONGRESS to make this country a better place.

Did you see New Orleans after Katrina? Were you there?? I was, and unless you saw it for yourself you can't conceptualize how massive the destruction was, and still is. I live in a state that has hurricanes on a regular basis, and I've seen hurricane damage. But nothing short of a war zone could have prepared me for what I saw in Louisiana and Mississippi after Katrina.

Are you ready for the "testing" our incoming Vice-President predicts will be coming our way? How many attacks were stopped by this administration?

The last 2 years of President Bush's 2nd term were dominated by a Democratically controlled congress that couldn't agree on when to take a dump, much less anything that actually mattered. But they did manage to accept their automatic pay increase while working people all over the country faced the Christmas season thankful to have a job after possibly having taking a pay DECREASE. This economic crisis has been decades in the making, going back to the Carter administration, and it manages to come to a head during this election cycle. So let's blame the President for it instead of the congress-critters whose fingerprints are all over it.

OK, end rant.

President Bush has been, and will continue to be, a gentleman and a statesman. He deserves our respect for having done his job honorably, faithfully, with class, and with the best interests of our nation at heart. He will be truly missed.

I wish nothing but the best for President Bush and our classy First Lady Laura. What is coming for this country is nothing but storm clouds.

President Bush never, ever deserved the kind of hatred and absolutely awlful behavior from the media and the liberals. But I am a big believer in what comes around, goes around. The lieberals will have to defend that first attack on American soil since 9-11. It will happen and its a question of where. When President Bush spoke of the terrorist threat that remains to our nation, a chill went through me. Obamalongadingdong has absolutely no clue and neither does his staff.

I didn’t agree with alot of President Bush’s fiscal policies or his immigration stance. However, he kept my family safe, he honored the real heroes of our country our fighting forces and I can’t thank him enough for that.

So I guess its spiteful of me to wish that DC next week has the worst ice storm with horrible wind chills ever?

I heard him say that and said WTF is he talking about it.

So according to him the GOP needs to look more out and be more inclusive, ie.e turn more liberal

Does he not realise that Mccain is a RINO and he lost.

WTF must be nice to live in the white house and not realise that the majority of Americans do not want to let illegals be made legal.

Am I blind? Am I the only one who believes he wasn’t that bad? Given the circumstances, I thought the vast majority of the decisions he made were the right ones. I do not understand how all these people have accepted the “bash Bush” meme. It started as whacko’s fromthe left but it has become standard operating procedure in nearly all circles to slam this man and I think history will prove this wrong.

I thought he was great in the press conference today. When he got heated about 9/11 I thought it was terrific. I would have only added that he should have said, “Do you remember American’s jumping to their deaths from those towers?” “What would you have had me do?”

Other than that, he was salient on every point. You know, for all the Bush bashing...if he makes it to next Tuesday and there isn’t another terrorist attack, he deserves our deepest thanks. And conversely, if a suitcase nuke goes off in New York or Los Angeles after noon on Tuesday, people are going to quickly start comparing Obama to Bush and they’ll be talk about love them or hate them, at least Bush and Cheney kept us safe.

Mark my words...

It’s kind of sad. He had SO MUCH potential. A lot even thought he was going to be as good as Reagan.

Anyone who closely pays attention to politics would know GWB would never be another Reagan. However, he did many things Reagan would have done - he obviously worked tirelessly to keep us safe.

I hope you remember your words in six months after Obama’s had time to do his damage.

As for me, I’d rather have an imperfect Republican in office than what we’re getting next.

Oh- can’t believe I did that! I confess I am under the influence of drugs due to mouth surgery. Gore on 9/11 would have been even worse though- I guess I really didn’t want to even think about that one. It is easy for me to forget about Gore- I just see him as a bumbling idiot- I see Kerry as a bumbling idiot too- but of a more dangerous nature because he really thinks he is some sort of military genius. Two terms of Gore or one of Kerry and we still might not have had a country to hand over.

‘...The congressional republicans -—>all of them<-— were and are elected locally. Those that failed, failed by their own hand....’

yes, and while the media surely helped to defeat some....why didn’t the Party.....whether local, state or national try much harder to educate people...BUY ads or TV or radio time....RNC seems to have a lot of money to send letters and make calls asking for MORE money. Why didn’t they use that money more effectively to inform people about the important and good accomplishments of Republicans?? imo, the Rep Party needs to better relate to “everyday” people.......imo, Sarah Palin did this and that’s why she generated so much enthusiasm.

“President Bush is a prime example of Class!”

I thought so, until he started trashing Republicans who disagreed with him on Miers (’bunch of sexist pigs’) and immigration (’bunch of hate-filled bumpkins’). OK, he got his wife to toss the insults out.

But he was tougher in his criticisms of his friends than he ever was with his enemies.

Me too! And.....bashers, swing away.....I wish he could continue to be President. I’d vote for him again in a heartbeat!

Not for me. I would have voted for him again if I could have. I wish he could have told us how many attacks we prevented. I also wish he had fought back at the press, particularly the NYT and especially when information reflecting national security measures was leaked.

I will wish him well, he did a good job on protecting us, his number 1 job.

I have zero confidence in Zero, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd, Biden, etc. to get it right.

That is exactly how I feel about President Bush.

It might be spiteful for you to wish for bad weather when Obama takes over- but I have to admit I smiled in agreement when I read it.

THEY were kicked out because of their LOVE fest with the democrats. AND what did it get us? Talk about Republicans shooting themselves in the foot!

Seems to me the most favorite word to the Republicans from FR was/is
“they have no back bone”

Now it is all Bush’s fault! Well, not this person.

THANK YOU PRESIDENT BUSH For your service to this country! THANK YOU for the 2 Conservative Supreme Court Justices, A safer country, No late term abortions, protection to babies who were born alive after a botched abortion and so much more.

God Bless President Bush, I will miss him.

Mega dittos! May God bless him and his family. Starting Wednesday, I will miss him terribly.

For all those suffering from BDS, they like most of us, don't fully comprehend the threat our nation has been under from those that seek to destroy us. Threats we'll never know. Threats we'll never understand the details of just how grave they are.

the media have been truly awful. They have been for years now degrading republicans, not telling the truth and have been playing up the Dems. Where is the news from Iraq? How about the agenda and how homo's go judge shopping while throwing the constitution away, How about the good America does and all the money our money getting sent overseas to help them. I'm sure we'll be hearing about all that soon though, the messiah is here to save is all, ARF well done media you have been disgusting beyond my wildest expectations. You have played the economy so bad this last year that there is not much room to go worse according to the media so therefore the messiah can only do better I for one have hardly watched the news and for the next 4 year will be getting my news from places like this and not the pathetic up obama's arse media one day I will run into these idiots at the media and they will get a piece of my mind over this. From now on I will be extremely vocal in public, at the doc's waiting room, dentist waiting room coffee shop and it will be putting down obama like they have been doing about Bush for 8 years
