“The Reismans got a caged chipmunk out of the garage and made an unsuccessful stab at putting the fire out themselves.”
How on Earth does one put out a fire with a chipmunk?
Great writing there, Skippy! LOL!

It's not known if the missing cat escaped the home, or if it is in the debris, she said. "The thing I am most upset about is it's my sister's cat and we have been watching it since she was in Iraq." Awww...

Sorry. I have owned cats and dogs. Dogs would try and save you, cats are only trying to wake you because they need you to open the door.

Hmmmmm, I’m thinking the cat in the article isn’t quite Viking Kitten material?

Oh Please...I’ve owned both too. The 2 schnauzers we had would only cry for the same reason the cat is crying...to get out of the house.

Is it just me or does this report look like it would get a D in a journalism class?

I do love cats but I’m guessing Fluffy was just wanting out so he wouldn’t die a horrible death. Saving lives other than his own was not something he was giving much thought to.

Very true. I had a major house fire a few years back and would have been crispy if my cat had not awaken me with its crying. Saving is saving though whether a cat or a dog.
