Sorry. I have owned cats and dogs. Dogs would try and save you, cats are only trying to wake you because they need you to open the door.

Oh Please...I’ve owned both too. The 2 schnauzers we had would only cry for the same reason the cat is crying...to get out of the house.

Very true. I had a major house fire a few years back and would have been crispy if my cat had not awaken me with its crying. Saving is saving though whether a cat or a dog.

I did notice that once it got the door open, it apparently didn't stick around to see if anyone else got out.

I have owned both also and find that cats are smarter and will alert to trouble and also are better attack animals than dogs who slobber all over the perps. The cat drew blood, lol, the kid still has scars on his face they say.
