A senior Israeli military commander involved in Operation Cast Lead said on Saturday that Hamas militants are suffering from exhaustion and are deserting battle.
The commander told reporters that Amir Mansi, the commander of Hamas's rocket-launching program in the Gaza City area who was killed by the IDF on Saturday, fired mortars himself after junior Hamas operatives refused to go outside, fearing an Israeli strike.
The IDF official estimated that more than 300 Hamas operatives have been killed since Israel launched its ground offensive in Gaza one week ago.

The so-called “Palestinians” (they stole the name of the Jewish homeland after 1967) have only one enemy and that is their political and religious leaders, who prefer to see them die then tell them they could be living good, peaceful lives with their good neighbor, Israel. They teach hate in their newspapers, in their school books, on TV and radio, all filled with complete lies. These people should get brand new leaders who are not insane hatemongers who ruin their own people. If the Palestinians would stop sending missiles into Israel and killing innocents people, there would be no reason for Israel to need to stop it. Get rid of your corrupt leaders - the P.A., the Hamas, the Martyr Brigades, Islamic Jihad. Palestinians, you are your own enemy.
“Desserters will be shot” “Survivors will be shot again”

Rules of war;
1) You threaten one of mine, I KILL ALL OF YOURS.
2) You hurt one of mine, I KILL ALL OF YOURS.
3) You bomb one of mine, I KILL ALL OF YOURS.
4) You kill one of mine, I KILL ALL OF YOURS.
5) Get the picture?
Even worse -- after WWII there were over 50 MILLION displaced people in Eurasia, all of who were absorbed by various countries inside of a generation.
In the meantime, the "Palestinians" -- around a million or so-- have been allowed to continue to be a suffering boil in the ME backside by their "brother" arabs.
Not so effin' brave are they, without women and children to hide behind. Israel has shown enough backbone to come after them anyway. Sure, there will be some innocent casualties, but in the long run, Israel is saving lives for every Hamas fighter they kill. The Hamas guys are starting to get the picture, wide-screen and high-def, that just playing at being a soldier is a h*ll of a lot different than actually being one, or running up against real soldiers.
As for the western/liberal news pansies, forget them, they don't count. Finish the job Israel, with all that implies.
This COULD be huge. I’ve been saying that Hamas was a lot weaker than advertised for variety of reasons (no means to resupply; boxed in between Israel, Egypt and Fatah loyalists).
It’s starting to look now like the Jaish al-Mahdi (Sadr’s gang in Iraq) in April-May 2008, when the Iraqi Army started squeezing the pressure. When Hamas is taking company-sized losses every time Israel strikes, that can’t be good for morale.
One of two things will happen:
1. Israel blinks, and Hamas starts to reorganize over a period of 3-6 months
2. Israel continues to ramp up the pressure, and desertions mount. Fatah regains a foothold, and Israel can now negotiate from a position of strength if they wish.
