Campbell's Soup pledges more 'gay' ads ('2 mommies' spread only 1st in marketing agenda)

Despite being pressured by traditional family advocates to stop, Campbell's Soup Company, maker of Swanson's brand broth, has vowed to continue spending its advertising dollars in pro-homosexual publications.

As WND reported earlier, the American Family Association objected to a Swanson's broth magazine ad that depicts a lesbian couple and their son. The ad was placed in the December 2008 and January 2009 issues of The Advocate, a magazine that touts itself with the line, "For 40 years, setting the standard in LGBT journalism."

Campbell's Soup, however, has brushed off the AFA's complaint.

MediaDailyNews quoted a company spokesperson explaining, "Inclusion and diversity play an important role in our business, and that fact is reflected in our marketing plan."

According to a Campbell's representative, "Our plans for the Swanson brand include additional placements in The Advocate."

Crock Pot soup is better than any store bought soup you can ever buy, period.

I’m not sure what the big deal is here. They’re simply targeting a demographic in their own publications. How likely are you to read them, or see the ads? If they ran an ad in Ebony or Jet, I’d imagine it would have black people in it. I could understand the upset if it were a Superbowl ad, but why is this such a problem?

Your crock pot may be gay if it’s made by Corning - they’re on the list!

Ah jeez it’s a gay magazine. I don’t agree with porn either, does that mean I should boycott those companies who try to make a buck off their readers? Rush Limbaugh always says he’s running a business. So is Campbells. What do I care if they advertise in a magazine I would never even hear of if it wasn’t for this post? This is not like they are advertising on cable or broadcast.
It’s groups like these with their reactions that make all us conservatives and Christians look like we are overly concerned with individual people’s lives. If you want, don’t buy Campbells soup. From what I understand, the sodium content is so high it’s hardly something worth buying anyhow.

Wow I can’t think of a more family-oriented brand image than Campbell’s Soup. But they’ve decided to chuck this carefully built brand identity down the toilet.

More evidence that traditional dominance of Christian values in American culture is dead. I really think that the church will be driven underground in the USA in my kids’ lifetimes.

Well I have a recipe for homemade vegetable beef soup. It takes about 5 minute prep time and 25 minute cooking time. Simple ordinary ingredients and it’s delicious. Also, the more times that it’s warmed over the better it gets. I call it “Carol’s Vegetable Soup” because it came from a relative. (I don’t know where she got it but she fixed it during her times of hardship raising her son alone.)

1-1.5 lb hamburger
1 box of macaroni & cheese hamburger helper
1 can of mixed vegetables
1 can of stewed tomatoes
1 tsp crushed sweet basil
Seasoning: onions, accent salt, regular salt, pepper & parsley flakes. Parsley flakes are added at the last when everything is done.

After browning hamburger with onions, add 6 cups of water. Then add cheese sauce of hamburger helper. After boiling mixture, add noodles. Then boil 10 minutes. Followed by adding mixed vegetables & stewed tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes. Topped with parsley flakes.

Potatoes may be added but water must be add too. 1 cup per potato added.

There needs to be some research and an article here about PR departments in all the big corporations.

They are cntrolled by gays.

So that means that the university departments that educate people in PR are also all pretty well dominated by gays.

It’s not just Campbells, it’s the in-your-face Miller beer ads, Absolut, and in fact just about every PR department anywhere.

There’s going to be a lot more ‘gay’ ads for common products because of this fact.

And no, the gays in the PR departments don’t care that they are only 1 - 3% of the population, they have to pretend they are a big market share.

They aren’t

Might just as well demand that left-handed redheaded people be marketed to.

It’s just another organization to sieze from the top and turn into a propaganda engine, like the Episcopal church.

They are taking over the PR departments everywhere. Expect more gay ads from Quaker State oil and Paymaster horse feed and Sears and Citgo and etc. etc.

They are not merely marketing their product to homosexuals whom represent a small target audience, they are trying to mainline the behavior.

It’s MSG (neurotoxic with long term cumulative damage) in a can.

No matter what your sexuality, you should stay away from that cr@p.

You just might be surprised at how many DO care. ;-)

Lots of people are getting tired of products pushing agendas, instead of pushing their products.
