Yep. Bit of trivia, the origin of the “it’s bad luck to light 3 cigarrets from one match” taboo comes from that.
First is sighting, second direction, third distance -— WWI lesson.

The final mortar cooked off in the tube from the heat of the previous rounds - there is a rather large but contained explosion which happens to expel each mortar...creates a great deal of heat.

Yep, this is old. Had it for my avatar on Military.com for a little while. Looks to me like some spec ops recon got into their mortar supplies and slipped them a couple doozies. We used to do this with their AK-47’s too...among other items not Politically Correct.
