A vulnerable patient starved to death in an NHS hospital after 26 days without proper nourishment.
Martin Ryan, 43, had suffered a stroke which left him unable to swallow.
But a 'total breakdown in communication' meant he was never fitted with a feeding tube. It was one of a number of horrific cases where the NHS fatally failed patients with learning difficulties, a health watchdog is expected to rule later this month. Tragedy: Martin Ryan died starving and 'in agony' in an NHS hospital after a 'communication breakdown' meant he was not fitted with a feeding tube

Emma Kemp, 26, was denied cancer treatment that could have saved her life, while 30-year-old Mark Cannon died two months after being admitted to hospital with a broken leg.
Three other cases followed similar patterns, with warnings ignored or problems missed until it was too late, often because the patients had difficulty communicating.
Ann Abraham, the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, is expected to deliver a withering verdict in her report.

Do they not have nurses in UK hospitals? I cannot imagine a nurse would not notice a patient was not being fed in some way.
The only way socialized medicine can save money is by refusing and reducing and delaying treatment. It is completely inhumane!
national health care alert
I don’t understand it either....it’s stunning.
This is exactly what the Clintons had in mind.
This will happen with increasing frequency under the “free health care” of Oprah’s Choice and EMK.

Socialized medicine... coming to a hospital near you.
I have to wonder if its not done on purpose. That recent story of the ambulance drivers agreeing to say the guy was dead when they got there. The 911 recording also proved that the guy was still alive and they let him die.
He was also handicapped.
Wait a second—he starved to death “in agony”? I seem to recall Terry Schiavo would be in a euphoric state as described by the MSM and her murdering husband.
On the other hand, they tell me that Terri Schiavo died very peacefully [/s]
39 seconds! Drat!
Are you kidding? EVERY government employee I’ve ever seen just doesn’t give a SH!T about their job or the customer because they know they can never be fired. NHS is government run health care in the UK. The nurses and others couldn’t have cared less about that poor man. Nobody will take any personal responsibility or initiative.
Worst of all, the last great hope of the world is heading in straight for this mess.
Didn’t even need George Felos to explain the euphoric wonders of death by starvation. Ahhh those Progressives..
Darwinism in practice the fittest will survive, the rest will die. Sad, sad, sad.
