By now many of you have heard that Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher is leaving for Israel tomorrow to be a war correspondent for Pajamas TV. This has created quite a brouhaha in the media - cable television, newspapers, wire services, etc. Everyone from CNN to gawker.com has something to say about Joe heading for the Middle East. He will appear on Fox and Friends tomorrow morning before his departure.
To be honest, some (maybe much) of this reportage is pretty snotty. Nora O’Donnell of MSNBC - herself a MA in international relations, lahdeedah - fairly frothed at the mouth at the prospect of the unqualified Joe having the temerity to report news in a foreign land. Those hipoisie over at Gawker weren’t too charitable either....

This is such great news in an otherwise bleak period. Joe the Plumber seems to have a good grasp on things and expresses himself well. Given a little experience I think he will show the so-called “experts” just how good and average “Joe” (no pun intended, it just happened!) can outshine the pros.
GO JOE! We’re looking forward to some TRUTHFUL reporting for a change.
He is better than McCain and certainly better than Obama (whose Communism he exposed).

On CNN Kara Philips did a promo for it and she said, “say it ain’t so JOe” and a bunch of other stuff.
From what she said I thought he was going over there to solve the crisis. That is how they made it sound.

What the heck?! That doesn't even make sense. I don't know if Phillips writes her own copy or not, but even the writing -- let alone the actual content -- on CNN is awful.
