All they have to do is finish the fence and they will find many more people willing to talk about temp work permits and such things. Without a fence, we all know there is nothing but amnesty. They will never finish the fence because they don't want any borders at all.

How can Ahnold cry to the feds for state bailout money and give free bennies to illegals. They were just discussing giving in state rates for illegals in college. Why should we give tax money to Kalifornia for such craziness.

They won't take it, but this is an opportunity for the Republicans to re-position themselves on this issue.

Economic troubles are here. Poor, unskilled workers, and young people are going to be hit hard and their unemployment rates are likely to be high.

Hmmmmmmm. Maybe having 30 million illegal immigrants working for low wages is a bad thing.

Obama and the Democrats are unlikely to push for a wall and a tough line on this issue. So the Republicans ought to claim this issue as their own. It's a natural fit. It will be more popular now. And it differentiates us from the Left.

But I ain't holding my breath.

Well, as unemployment of American citizens climbs, RINOS in congress want to legitimize millions of non Americans to compete for those jobs. They don't have th “Jobs Americans Won't Do” mantra anymore. With Obama in office, we all might picking turnips, and damn mad some foreigner is keeping that wage low.......

You better be reluctant, John. To be so good, on so many issues, and to be so cracked on this one is a crying shame.

And here’s the ‘money’ quote from McCain from the article.
Right!!! We need more workers...my county has unemployment of 11% this morning! IDIOT!

And notice he does NOT say they will SECURE the border...he says they will ‘assure’ us that it is secure....translation: they’re gonna lie like the dogs they are.

“I think we have to assure the American people that our borders are being secured and, at the same time, we can establish a temporary-worker program that works.” McCain

Watch for Chambliss to sign back on this too, even after the fight of his life, which should have been a learning experience.

And our heroine herself, Sarah i understand is for this.

Sarah is great on this issue. I have a buddy there who told me there are illegal aliens who go to Alaska to work. But the hard work and cold weather turns them into conservatives.

As such, I would be willing to offer amnesty and a green card to any illegal aliens who are gainfully employed in Alaska for five consecutive years.

Well, I wish we knew for sure. I’ve found nothing definitive either way from her.

Issaquah, why don’t you go ask her for us???

Don’t forget that the billions sent to Mexico and other contries as remittances contribute to the economic downturn.

The only solution is fair trade, not free trade to force the sending countries to fix their problems. It is only that which will grow our country back again.

True, other than she said she shared and supported Mccains views.

It looks like Kyl learned his lesson - SORT of.

McNutjob, predictably, demonstrates the intelligence of a cabbage plant and the immobility of a piece of granite.

Kyl is not eager to stick his neck out again for a temporary-worker program and steps toward legalization for millions of undocumented migrants in the country.

Good for Kyl.

By the way, since the scumbag liberal who wrote this article, Dan Nowicki, calls illegal aliens "undocumented migrants", then I suppose he calls drug dealers "unlicensed pharmacists"?

Add military service and I can go along with that.

I don't live in Arizona, but it's my understand that he ran for re-election in 2006 strongly opposed to amnesty, after having fought it in 2006 pre-election. Then in 2007, after winning six more years, he did his 180 and became one of the strongest proponents of amnesty.

Could never trust the flip-flopper again, and he's got four more years until he's up for re-election again. Can only conclude that his "conviction" on this issue goes no further than his re-election probabilities.

This piece of putrescence demonstrated his true character when he attacked Republicans for trying to tie Blagojevik to Obama and refused to endorse Palin for President in 2012.

My guess is this nincompoop will be trying to run again in 2012 if he lives that long.

McCain is a real disappointment. He’s a Coriolanus type character, although that is probably being too hard on Coriolanus.

I was just listening to Rush. McCain has a new ‘organization’ called Country First. He wants contributions.....Which country? Mexico?
