Feeling bummed, down, deflated etc? Feel that no matter whether the Republicans were to get their act together the Pro-Democrat Media (PDM) would never allow a cogent, honest assessment of anything from the Republicans? Angry that the PDM provides cover for all that Congressional (and soon executive) Dems do and all the Dem auxillaries from education to union to sciences etc. Tired of the emotionally-charged and intellectually-bankrupt PGM 24/7? Then dump 'em!
That's right - stop feeding the beast.
On Tuesday, January 20, cancel your cable or satellite subscription. In one fell swoop you will disempower CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, PBS, Bravo, BBC and on down the line of PDM news and entertainment networks. At the same time you will force the media outlets towards an al carte system so that you can choose what you want to pay for and stop funding those that you do not. This will also hasten the transition to an internet-based distribution to allow even more flexibility.
There is a two-fold effect when you discontinue your tv service. First, you will end the direct royalties that each network gets up front for being included in a distributor's channel lineup. Second, instead of trying to identify boycott individual sponsors by boycotting certain shows, you will cover the entire spectrum. These dropped revenues will either give these networks and their biased news/drama shows a swift kick in the butt to say, "We just want fairness when it comes to anything political", or else they will die on the vine.
Now the big achilles heel to this can be summed up in one word: sports. You're a loyal fan and feel that at a minimum watching football on Sunday allows you to unwind and forget the bias of all the other channels. The truth is that under the minimum subscription plans allowed you are funding ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN whether you like it or not, funding that is undermining the very real idea of America retaining some semblance of the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Many time we conservatives like to invoke the classic Edmund Burke quote: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." But what value is that quote if we allow ourselves to be steamrolled by the PDM that we VOLUNTARILY keep funding!
For any tv/movie fix you may be needing then join a mail order dvd rental company like Blockbusteror Netflix. While you of course would still be "feeding the beast" you will be doing so in a more targeted way and have the power to start or stop your subscription anytime. And again you are neutering the ad revenues that the networks would draw for any given show while gaining cool things like director and cast commentary.
And if you get Netflix you will have unlimited downloads (as of now) of instant movies and tv shows.
So please, if you truly believe, as I do, that our counstitutional freedoms are hanging by a thread, then give my proposal due consideration. I promise you that when you make the call to cancel you will feel more empowered by the second as the cable or satellite representative attempts to convince you to keep subscribing (tip: when you get through to the rep tell them right off the bat that you are recording the call for your own "quality assurance purposes"; tends to eliminate any additional sales pitches).
And then right after you cancel, go ahead and order a few books online. Or go on a walk...say to your local sports pub to lift a couple handles, maybe make a couple new friends, and when the ads interrupt the game, smile and know that at least you aren't feeding the PDM beast anymore.
There’s not just the media beast to stop feeding,
there’s the REAL beast of government. There are ways of reducing your tax profile legally. Find out what they are and USE THEM.

FMCDH(BITS)
the govt will bail out the MSM.
Let me just say that if that happens then I will berate to no end any conservative I know that still subscribes to cable/sat. or any form of PDM.
