A show that Springer couldn't even conceive

John Kass

January 4, 2009

Roland "Tombstone" Burris goes to Washington this week as part of the Illinois political freak show, and many of us back home will watch it and feel like cringing, at least at the beginning.

Who among us could not wince at the prospect of Tombstone standing before news cameras, his head bobbing, smiling amiably, chattering nonsensically as is his way, insisting he feels no shame. All he wants is to become a United States senator, and he kissed a tainted hand to get there.

His fellow Democrats may be ready to bar his entrance to the Senate chambers, and politicians will be ready, even eager, to play the race card again. If this happens, the man who sent Tombstone to Washington, Gov. Rod Blagojevich will glory in his opportunity to speak directly to his future jury pool.

But it is a terrible time for Illinois politicians, from the self-professed reformers to the Outfit stooges, because they've been exposed, and now the nation will see how this freak show runs.

Interesting take. Maybe Blogojevich did the rest of the world a favor. Except nothing was exposed beyond what everyone already knew.

And, Illinois hasn't proven any different at this juncture than many other venues, including Minnesota, where I live.

And, most of the politicians in DC are buckets of scum, so ANY such bucket from Illinois will fit right in.

The wonder of it all is getting to be: What's the point?

Read the title; thought the post was about a program on Jerry Springer’s impotence problem.

Oh well.

But almost anything by John Kass on Illinois/ Chicago politics is worth the read. He’s got crediblity partly becuase he’s as tough on corrupt Rino’s as he is on Dems (no need to use the previous adjective, as that would generate a redundancy).

Now Obama will be in a position to use the power of the Federal government to quickly and quietly end investigations and help his friends. And the media will run interference by saying Chicago is free of corruption and the real crime and corruption is in Alaska and North Dakota. The 70% of Obama voters who have just been made dimly aware of the Blagojevich scandal will be told everything is fine and they will soon forget anything negative they may have heard.

...except for the fact that Blago and Rezko are both pragmatic men who know how to play a tough game and are pissed at being put in the position they are now in. Blago’s Chief of Staff will sing. That will do in Blago. Blago will then sing to lighten the sentence and with that Obama will be boxed in. While he may not be indicted as POTUS he will be emasculated and contained. Obama is no Messiah for a Messiah is willing to become a martyr. Obama only wants to be Roman Governor and wear purple so he will play the cards he’s dealt as long as he can play his losing hand from the trappings of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

snip
But as this is the Senate of the United States, not Jerry Springer, it’s much worse. And with so many bozos popping out of the clown car with the Illinois plates, as the Beltway begins to snicker and Illinois is called a laughingstock, let’s just admit there is a natural cringe factor at work here.”

This guy is hilarious. Good as Ann Coulter.

And remember, O is part of the Illinois freak show.

Anybody want to join a pool? Whoever gets closest to guessing the number of days (after January 20th) to the Rezko pardon wins!

It won’t be long before B.O. “promotes” U.S Attorney Fitzgerald to a Wash D.C. job in order to put the “right” guy in the job to cover up and kill the ongoing investigations.

“Ya’ gotta love Illinois.”

Blagojevich, Daley, Farrakhan, Bill Ayers, Jesse Jackson, Jeremiah Wright, Father Pfleger, Bernadine Dohrn? Not much to love.

Watched an interesting documetary on the (cant remember name) gang of black men who literally ran Chi Towm pre MLK.

Headed by on man who made his thugs suceed by following rules having them get educations and infiltrate the politics and govt jobs.

Known to good guys back then that they were low down drug selling killers came quite a shock when the Fed. govt gave this gang millions to there psuedo inner city program that promised to train/educate the under class so they would become employed (sound familiar to modern times? )

There down fall came when the big H became a product they sold and the money plus breaking the rules of no drug use other than pot.

They had some old timers interviewed as well as good guy old timers.

It may have answered some ???? I had on how the heck did corrupt black men in modern times got to run Chi Town along with there non black minions.

Oh and they did turn to Islam as a front for their no good going ons.

To be fair on the other end of the color spectrum I also watched a docu on Ayrian/Nazi gangs that are in this day and age also getting educated so they to can blend in with society and infiltrate even to go so far as to appear to love hanging out with people of color.

I think the American Indians did it the honest way...build Casinos and still all the white/black/asian ect mans money. : )

Former Chicago Gang Members and 21st Century Vote

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2102166/posts

Posted on Friday, October 10, 2008 7:19:59 AM by syriacus

[NB: this is from March 19, 1996]

Salim Muwakkil reports on 21st Century Vote, an organization created by former members of Chicago’s largest street gang, Gangster Disciples.

Wallace “Gator” Bradley, a former gang member turned community leader, praises the group for offering a more productive way for disenfranchised youth to channel their energy and take part in the political process.

However, the police and mainstream media claim that the organization is simply an illegitimate front allowing the Gangster Disciples to gain more influence.

Bradley defends 21st Century Vote as a group sincerely working to bring a stop to gang violence from the inside out, and steer young people away from crime. He views denouncement of their efforts from politicians and others as an obstruction to progress.

Am I the only one who sees all this as just another underhanded blow at capitalism? I suspect Burris paid Blaj for the Senate seat and thus owns it free and clear. But now Democrats, and some Republicans, are trying to deny him rightful possession. Creeping socialism, ya ask me.

Thats their name!
It struck me more of a biker gang type of name when I first heard of them.

Oh and no suprize hear but guess who use to buddy up with them.
Rev. Jesse Jackson. Supposedly married or baptized (cant remember) the leader or one of his top dogs.

The leader and his ideology sure reminds me of the new modern version of Obama.
