Utes Beat 'Bama in Sugar Bowl, 31-17
01/02/09 | Reaganesque

Way to go Utes! Eleven sacks! Twenty one points in the first quarter alone. The announcers kept asking if Utah could handle the Tide's big front line. Well, the French had a big front line in the 1930's and that didn't work out so well either.

Don’t I know it, I was a soda vendor in the late 70’s as a kid. I watched it grow. It sucks when you lose.

Try winning then having the other team claim it doesn’t count because it happened in the last second of the game.... ;^)

If we’re gonna do this right, those conference championships need to count for something. If you don’t win your title game, you don’t get a seed in the national playoffs.

Big 10 and PAC-10 add conference championship games or they can keep playing each other in meaningless Rose Bowls and we’ll throw in a pair of at-large seeds. (This year would have been Texas and Alabama)

Oklahoma - BYE
Florida - BYE
USC - BYE
Utah - BYE

Troy v. Penn State - winner plays Utah
East Carolina v. Boise State - winner plays USC
Navy v. Cincinnati - winner plays Florida
Ball State v. Georgia Tech - winner plays Oklahoma

Cinderella stories, upsets and dynasties all waiting to happen...

Ha - silly isn’t it? If they win, it’s a huge win, if you win, it’s a fluke.... such babies.

It’s Life. I remember going with my Mom and she loved the pageantry before and during the games. It’s all about a shared experience. :^)

Nick Saban is a jerk.

His facial expressions and incessant shouting are indicative of his bad attitude.

you got that right rintense,
The way Saban left the Dolphins was a disgrace.
Saban is low class, an ass, and a dirty recruiter.

The TT QB has thrown more TD passes this year than any QB in history. They had some offense.

He didn't throw quite enough the other night.

I was in the Big House to watch that game... I knew Michigan was in BIG trouble for the year.

Little did I know it would be their worst year ever.

That's saying something after 130 years of football.

Could (Should) be looking at a split poll after last night...if I had a vote, Utah would be my #1

His facial expressions and incessant shouting are indicative of his bad attitude.

I watched the USC PS game and it confirmed my admiration for Pete Carroll. He treats his players well. They have fun playing for him. He smiles a lot during the game. I would think his attitude makes it easy to recruit good players.

Last night I saw Saban lean over and yell at one of his defensive players after he had tackled a Utah player on the sideline.

Texas Tech just lost to Ole Miss.

In retrospect, you're correct, although I am an erstwhile Tech fan. Ole Miss impressed me--they didn't just win, they dominated, after the first 2 minutes or so. How about having them replace Penn State in the playoffs?

Tom Bradley, the defensive coordinator, is the heir apparent. In reality I think he’s very nearly running the program now.
