Sun-Sentinel Lame Coverage of Pro-Hamas Ft. Lauderdale Demonstration Overshadowed by YouTube Video

Someone really needs to inform Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel editor Earl Maucker that newspapers nowadays are in the business of delivering information, not just print. We just saw an excellent example of why print needs to be supplemented by video, especially if the latter is necessary to convey the feeling of the event covered. This was illustrated by the incredibly lame coverage the Sun-Sentinel gave to a very intense pro-Hamas demonstration on Tuesday in downtown Fort Lauderdale. As a resident of this area, such demonstrations seem to be rather disconcerting since this seems to be something that usually happens in other parts of the world, not in this normally peaceable burg. Check out this video made by Tom Trento and judge for yourself if this demonstration warranted this rather laid back Sun-Sentinel coverage as written by Scott Wyman:

The Sun-Sentinel seems to have absolutely NO idea of how to use the internet. What you see on the Sun-Sentinel's website is perhaps the most boring material imaginable. They still don't have a clue as to how to incorporate video into stories.

Will they make me an offer that I can't refuse?

We had a Freep in DC about 2003 where the PLO supporters across the street tried to cross the street and crash our pro-troops rally

somewhere we have pics of the Police protecting us, they called in the riot squads and they all faced the PLO supporters and they then stopped crossing the street.

We picked up whatever we could hold to deffend ourselves against the Islamic vermin

Fort Lauderdale or Leftydale’s matching newspaper I stand amazed it is still selling papers, once the big box stores like Brands Mart stop advertising with them they will hopefully Quickly go away.

It was didactic to be able to compare the video with the rather biased reporting. I wish more Americans could see this kind of thing. The Palestinian cause is so transparently one of murder, it is hard to believe that anyone can believe otherwise, let alone side with them.

As a side note, it would've been fun to set up a Hamas recruitment booth, complete with enlistment forms. Those who fell for it could immediately be arrested as members of a terrorist group.

One of our local Chicago Freepers had an experience like that a couple of years ago on Michigan Avenue. There were a few pro-Palestinian left-wingers from one of the university campuses making a stink, and he started yelling at them. He got some surprise reinforcements IIRC because there happened to be a Jewish private school nearby.

Life is like a box of chocolates ...

Loved the following comments

“Nuke Israel”
“You need more ovens that what you need”
“your mothers are whores”
“Die and go to hell”

Words to live by, given to you by the loving supporters from the “religion of peace”

Loved the Obama supporter at 5:11 BTW

Being that SE Florida has the highest concentration of Jews (per capita, LA has more numerically) outside of New York, its amazing that these cretins got away with this.

I also remember a case back in '82 when a bunch of red diaper babies decided to have a pro-Castro protest right in Bayfront Park. The little neo-hippies proceeded to have their a-ses kicked by a gang of aging Bay of Pigs veterans.

Ah, for the good old days when there were still folks in South Florida to stand up to the lefties. Now you see idiot Anglo and South American kids walking around with Che shirts. Disgusting...
