The top Senate Republican said his caucus would block any attempt to seat Democrat Al Franken until an anticipated court case over Minnesota's close election is finished and an official election certificate is conferred.
Texas Sen. John Cornyn said Friday that Republicans would object to seating the race leader Franken sooner. A filibuster would require 60 votes to break a few more than Democrats currently hold in Washington.

You mean Freak’en Franken is only ahead by 49 dimwit votes? Keep counting, please. Why in the world would any body vote for that lunatic is beyond me. I don’t understand the people in Minn. Of course, in Louisiana we elected Willy Jefferson knowing he was a crook so anything can happen.

Between McCain and Coleman, a lot of MN conservatives stayed home. If not for Palin, this wouldn’t even have been close.

This whole Franken(stein) thing really ticks me off.
He came here because he know we were the only State where he would have a chance on winning because there’s so many “DFL’ers” here that would vote for a thug if he was on the ballot.....!!!
