Two EMT workers in Britain were arrested after they were heard allegedly discussing whether they should bother to resuscitate a disabled man who had collapsed at home and subsequently died.

Barry Baker, 59, who lived alone, dialed 911 saying that he thought he was having a heart attack. An ambulance was sent to his house while a controller kept him talking on the line.

“Rationing is an inevitable result of “free” government anything.”

I say we start rationing Walter Reed and Bethesda, only active military. NO Congress critters allowed. No former Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs, etc. a VA hospital is good enough for them if it’s good enough for the “troops.”

I don't see what the big deal is here.(3)

These two *Undocumented Doctors* (Medics) where just doing what actual MDs do every day under 'England's' socialized medicine - oops National Healthcare Service Trust. They were proactive and performed 'Triage'(1)(2) to save the NHS trust a ton of money it doesn't have.

Triage
(1) The determination of priorities for action in an emergency. A system used to allocate a scarce commodity, such as food, only to those capable of deriving the greatest benefit from it.
(2) Triage is also performed every Friday Night in Big City Trauma Centers across the USA when the natives go on drive-by killing sprees or after a major fire or accident.

I just sent this to one of my lease operators, he’s 56 and recovering from a hip replacement. He’s been home for 6 weeks now. He just sent an e-mail saying he’ll be back Monday. LOL

The aunt of a friend of mine had a clear Do Not Resuscitate order, which my friend gave to the ambulance crew that had come when someone had called EMS for her. The ambulance took the main road to the hospital, but my friend took a different route after gathering some things.

She had to wait a long time before the ambulance arrived. She found out that the medics had pulled over on the way to the hospital and took turns practicing on her aunt. Then they resuscitated her against her will.

Anyone who thinks patients--or their preferences--are respected should ask about investment opportunities with Bernie Madoff.

Was the guy long dead when they got there?

If only they could catch Some Dude. Ask any of these trauma victims who shot them, and they'll tell you it was Mr. Dude. Also, minding your own business is the most dangerous thing you can do.

This is the outcome of a public policy that doesn’t firmly state that all life is of equal value. The left is so vulnerable in this way - they preach advocacy for the disabled yet they promote aborting babies who are less then perfect. Couple this with “right to die” activists, and it’s clear that respect for human life is diminishing.

This also illustrates the problem with people not having children and trusting the care in their old age to hired professionals who will never care about them as much as family might have. That wasn’t a problem when families remained geographically close and those who chose not to have children had brothers and sisters and nephews and nieces to keep an eye on them when they got old but small families don’t afford as many people that luxury.

As Social Security and Medi-Care money dries up, boomers reach retirement and avg life span increases there will be a louder call to examine the elderly’s quality of life and effect on society. Yearly exams can lead to fast euthanasia.

Stealth euthanasia has been practiced in the USA for quite a while. My elderly mother-in-law was killed by hospital staff when they “accidentally” gave her a little too much Morphine. My wife would was an ER nurse ... now a Pharmacist ... says it happens a lot more than people realize

Oh Man!! How often does this happen when it’s not recorded? The fruits of Darwinism.

Before Darwin lived and your savior's followers were more in control.

This has nothing to do with right to die.
They were denying his rights, not asking for them to be respected.

Jesus Christ is everyone’s savior, whether you choose to accept that salvation or not. Nobody ever committed any sins by following Him. If you knew Him, you wouldn’t be so confused about that.

Yeah, the Christian culling was done by God:

"Tuez-les tous; Dieu reconnaitra les siens."
(or "Caedite eos! Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius"
or "Neca eos omnes. Deus suos agnoscet.")
--Arnaud-Armaury, Abbot of Citeaux, Papal Legate; AD 1209.

New procedures such as hip replacement have done wonders to help the elderly. Breaking a hip is not the death sentence it once was.

Many times emergency workers show up there will be people unconscious.

My Savior’s followers have never been in control nor sought control. The Pope’s followers are responsible for the Inquisition.
