Great piece. The only upside to having Barack occupying the White House is that none of us pundit types will have to search far for material.

Hey Barry... the honeymoon in Hawaii is soon to be over. Reality sucks, you’ll get used to it.

ok, in the meantime we are told polls show his “leadership” and decisiveness the reason he has the highest approval rating of any US president since Reagan? What the H?

WASHINGTON (CNN) — A national poll suggests that three-quarters of the public thinks President-elect Barack Obama is a strong and decisive leader, the highest marks for a president-elect on that characteristic in nearly three decades.

During the campaign Obama told us he “had a (big government) plan” to deal with the (big government-induced) financial crisis. The day after he got elected we were told that he was too busy writing “the plan” to do interviews with the media. One month after the election, the “plan” still unfinished, he takes a vacation in Hawaii. I can’t wait for January 20th, when the proverbial rubber meets the proverbial road.

President-elect Barack Obama opts out of the game by proclaiming that there's only one president at a time.

Give Obama credit, he's absolutely right. I can only imagine the outrage here at FR if he was kibbitzing Bush at this point.

Barry is the captain of amateur politics. He’s already shown what a rookie he is, pre- and post-election. Well, we’ll just have to see how Chicago politics translates internationally.

Brackkkkkkkk sure had a BIG MOUTH during the campaign. He was full of ideas and advice, that is right, he was FULL OF IT! I hope he will be a good and fair leader, but I will not hold my breath. I will compliment him when he does something good, I will be critical when he does something stupid. In the meantime, I am NOT holding my breath!

(when he’s not showing off his pecs to the gaga media).

He is way too SKINNY, he has no muscle, and he has MAN BOOBS, NOT pecs! Compare him to a real athlete or body builder. He is a girly man! He needs to work out more and pump up some muscle. I see more muscle at the gals at our local gym.

Whadda ya bet he spends more time in Hawaii showing off his manly chest than he does in the White House? Or hiding out in one of Rezko’s slum houses back home in Chicago?

I predict that Obama will be messing his pants when he has to make a REAL decision. When ideology meets reality he will find that his ideas will not work. He has already pi$$ed off the far left. And he will make more of his party made at him too. He promised everything to every body. It will be the most secretive presidency ever.

Each day I wake up I wish that all of this happening was just one of my worst possible dreams.

This country has finally been overtaken by the communists and we have yet to know the limits that people will tolerate. I worry that we will tolerate more than we should. We already have in the last months without demanding any accountibility. egads!

January 20th will be historic, but not in a good way.

This guy is a clown and he makes me want to hurl chunks. He’s not qualified to be a student leader on a campus.

Now I can empathize with third world residents who have corrupt fools for leaders, know it, but can’t say anything about it except in private.

At least we can still complain openly (for now).

Obama may not spend much time in the Oval Office doing any work.

Following his pattern of doing nothing once he's elected but campaigning for higher office, he has already begun his campaign for HIGHER office - Emperor of the World.

His problem with Congress lies in the fact that Congress never accepts responsibility for anything. They shift whatever blame there is in any situation downtown to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.....snip.....The fact that they haven't done anything worthwhile is all Obama's fault, and starting on January 20 they'll blame him for anything that goes wrong.

I disagree with Micheal on this one.

Bush will be blamed for at least 2 years for any and all problems Obama or a democrat controlled Congress faces. The media will nod in total agreement on bended knee

Also, Ralm Emanuel was made chief of staff for one reason and one reason only, he knows where Pelosi has all the bodies buried. Obama will be giving the orders to her and not the other way around

Nancy will be as quiet as a church mouse when it comes to pointing her bony finger at Obama.

In many ways, I think this Blago corruption investigation may be a a round about way to get leverage over Ralm, since I'm sure he is in up to his neck in it

What is all the screamin about. He CAN NOT do anything. He is not president yet. President Bush is for another 19 days. He still runs the foreign policy. After that Obama can and probably will make Israel surrender.
