December was actually a GREAT month for YouTube Smackdown!  I hope you enjoyed seeing all the dancing babies as much as I enjoyed posting them!  You'll REALLY enjoy seeing these numbers!!

AhDoodieClaire - 12 suspensions and downed videos totaling 491 videos removed!

LanAstaslem - 3 suspensions, 238 videos removed.

SIT – sniper videos – don’t have figures yet

JSDotd -  30 out of 31 down for Dec. total of 216 to date -  88.5% SMACKDOWN

It has taken over a year and a half to assemble the arms and legs of this project to make it the success it is today.

And, it demands constant vigilance to stay on top of the seemingly unending changes YT makes to their TOS, without officially notifying their users!  Without testing what are basically gut feelings, we don't know which direction the river runs today.

 To that end, GnatMasterson worked most of December (over and above his love for providing weekend gnat amusement) to test a growing suspicion he had that YT had rewritten software to allow much older videos to be taken down.  He and his loyal minions pulled users from the archives and flagged videos until they were satisfied that the hypothesis was in fact, correct.  The results -

238 individual videos downed and 12 users suspended totaling an additional 561 videos!  That's 799 total videos from Gnat!  YOU ROCK!! 

 
Another avenue for cleaning up YT's dereliction of duty has been opened, you will be seeing much more of the older videos for flagging.  Thank you GnatMasterson and crew for a job exceedingly well done!!!

(Large gnats are 100 videos, small gnats are 1)

If you're new at this, we'd love to have you working with us.  Here are the steps for flagging videos:

#1) If you don’t have a YouTube account, go sign up for one. You don’t have to use it for anything but this.

#2) Click one of the links below, let the video start and then click the pause button on the player so you don’t have to actually watch the propaganda.

#3) Below the video, click “Flag as inappropriate.”

#4) Choose “promotes hatred or violence”

#5) Where it says “please indicate the group attacked” choose National Origin.

#6) Where it says “provide additional information.....” type or copy/paste in the below statement.

It took me a while to understand, but I believe the effort is focused at shutting down anti-American videos.
A video must have 3 complaints against it and then it is automatically removed.
So, freepers are scanning You Tube for offensive videos and then “pinging” others to get that video shut down.

These are videos that are used for recruitment and propganda purposes by terrorist and terrorist supporters.

They are ILLEGAL by Executive Orders 12947 and 13224.

All we are doing is helping YT to police itself.
