DAD-of-two Stewart Fleming grips his head in pain as he waits to be seen in A&E - but he died after being ignored for SIX hours.
Clearly suffering, Stewart was clutching a note from his doctor saying he must be seen IMMEDIATELY.
But the railway signalman, 37, was left to die as a deadly virus ravaged his body and one by one his organs collapsed.
He was not admitted until six hours after arriving at the Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, Kent, by which time it was too late.
An infection had taken hold of his heart, liver and kidneys and specialists were unable to treat the disease.
His distraught wife Sarah, 42, said: "We were waiting for so long. I was just mucking around on my phone trying to get him to smile. But he was in so much pain he couldn't even look up to the camera.
"I can't stop thinking that the last hours of his life were wasted. They were spent waiting around for help.
"His doctor obviously realised the severity of his condition. His life might have been saved if the hospital had given him something to fight the infection sooner."
Stewart drifted in and out of consciousness as the virus took hold.
Sarah added: "I was told we had to go through the normal process, even with the letter from the doctor. We got to A&E before 5.30pm. He was finally called through to be examined at 11pm.
"He could have had all those hours on a monitor and they might have been able to stop the virus."
Sarah and her husband arrived at the A&U unit on December 15 after advice from their GP.

The public hospital here in Dallas, Parkland, ignored a patient for 23 HOURS in th waiting room, and he died. It’s not just the UK or Canada.
This is the perfect reason to fight Obama with all you have, and all the imbeciles who supported him too. These jackals will kill us, given even the smallest opportunity.
I will make the lives of my senators and representative a living hell for the next four years. The WH will probably have a dossier with my name on it, by the time the Obamination completes his first 3 months.
I used to be suspicious of some of the chatter I heard from the anti-socialize medicine camp.
However, this video changed my mind. This is a story about an American in the UK.
I know the woman telling it. She is a small business person and served as a volunteer association president.
She is as credible as they come.

Six hours is a very long time for such a serious case to be ignored, especially when the patient had already been diagnosed by a qualified physician.
Thanks geo. The only reasons Hillarycare was pushed in the early 1990s: 1) to keep her busy and out of Bill’s hair, 2) make it look like only the Demwits were serious about “providing” health care, and 3) produce a more or less perennial issue that gets coverage as if it is something besides a party talking point.
When that happens many of the best doctors will find an off-shore site and excellent health care for rich liberals will flourish. Too bad for the rest of us.
