Hey The Republic of Texas sounds pretty damn good a second time around. What more could you ask for? Self reliant, honorable, patriotic, takes no BS and fully capable of supporting ourselves! I say anyone that wants to act right could join in, all the whiney ass Lib states can go hook up with the Euro-weenies.

First thing to do when the RED states depart the Socialist Amerika, is to quit calling ourselves RED States.

Yeah, but those are OUR Mexicans. As long as los Gringos de Austin are running the show, all is well. But I’ll be damned if my state is ever going to be run by a bunch of Santa Anna narco-wannabees from the D.F....

Well, that’s mighty entertainin’ but the Texas Republic would NOT be a part of Mexico or under it’s influence. WE would invade Mexico and bring them to heel and show them what we expect and reform their government—or else.

Man, with those newly acquired resources I think we’d be fixed sho ‘nough.

Interesting theory he has.

First of all, before we would let Russia take back Alaska, there are a lot of us that would move there to resist such a move. Then we could start drilling for oil anywhere we want. There is plenty of oil, gas, gold, etc to produce a vibrant economy on Alaska.

I don't think Mexico has enough troops or stable enough government themselves to take over the southwest. As for the illegals there, I doubt even they would want to be a part of Mexico again.

Personally I think professor Panarins is full of it up to his eyeballs. If civil war comes to the US there may be a lot of liberals who immigrate to Russia but that's about all the would happen. The USA will survive in some form and most likely for the better.

His prediction is as relevant as Ted Danson and his predictions of the death of the oceans.

Perhaps someone should have showed him the last election map based on counties. Only a central planner, like PEBHO, could conceive of this territorial division.

Grouping Tennessee and Kentucky with New York??? Good luck with that!

Any breakup would undoubtedly be by state, since state governments are already well-defined entities.

I tend to agree with his prediction of “Civil War”( In reality Social War) The start of the shooting will depend on how fast and how deep “The Divine One” moves his program of wealth transfer, how rapid the increase in illegal immigration over the next few years; the severity of the anti christian oppression etc. etc. In short, if the clowns now moving into positions of power misjudge and move faster than the population can absorb the change then the shooting will start circa 2010. However, if they increase their oppression at an acceptable rate then the start of the shooting will be delayed beyond that date.

We might collapse, but the map sure the HELL isn't going to look like that.

After the gun owners of Tx, Ok, Ks, Neb, S.D, N.D, NM, Wym, Mont, Ark, La, Miss, Ala, Ga, Fla, Tenn, Ky, Ar, Utah and Idaho go apesh@t, the liberals will be confined to the left and right coasts.

Panarin's prediction about the division of the U.S. reveals a lack of understanding of American society, its fault lines, and its demographics and demographic tendencies, and this, in turn, casts doubt on his understanding of the entire U.S. and his ability to make predictions concerning it.

For example:

Why would S.C., N.C., Tenn., Va., et al. be expected to join the northeast but Ga., Fla., Ala., et al. to join Texas? This doesn't make sense.

He evidently thinks that the South is heavily Hispanic.

He evidently thinks the Native American population of the Western states is larger than it is.

He thinks that Utah would ally itself with California but not with, say, Texas.

He might have the details all screwed up but he could be dead on with his major premise.

How much further can the Federal government go with the Nanny State, One World, Political Correct BS that is turning the working middle class into the slaves of the welfare moochers and the well connected multi-millionaires on Wall Street?

There is no talk at all of reigning in their out-of control, unconstitutional reconstruction of the USA.
All the talk and promises are about ignoring more and more of the constitution, assuming more power and control, and devising ways to milk the working class even more.

Pretty much my conclusion also. The NE states might try to hook up with liberal Canada or even the EU, but the central Canadian Provinces might want to join a newly re-formed U.S., giving us a direct land-link to Alaska.
California can go off and form its own liberal la-la land, which would quickly go the way of Cuba and be third-world within 10 to 20 years.

A revitalized U.S., without the dead-weight of liberal agenda issues would quickly reassert itself on the world stage and become the uncontended lone superpower, militarily and economically.

The hard part, not insurmountable - but still hard, would be getting all the liberals left in the former "RED" states to move to either coast or liberal Canada. Maybe some kind of tax-free-exchange forum could be set up so people who want to "change sides" could do so more freely.

Addendum: It's also notable that the only really liberal areas are concentrated in the cities, whereas the rural and mostly suburban areas are generally conservative.

It would be interesting to see how it would all shake out! May you live in interesting times!
(Oooooops! I think we are . . . . . )

I’m sure the liberals and the rest of the world are waiting with baited breath.

I’d just be happy if New York City seceded from New York State so we could keep our money up here, LOL.

Yeah, his demographics are askew to say the least.
But, this is, as the article states, not a new theory.

In 1981, Joel Garreau wrote a book called “The Nine Nations of North America.” Interesting read, sorta like those alternative history books such as what if the Confederacy won the war for secession. Garreau’s knowledge of the demographics then-existing were far superior to Igor’s.

SC to New England, Indians in the Midwest, Hispanics taking over the South. It’s ludicrous, at least for the reasonably foreseeable future, even with very tough economic times.

Everything changes, but I don’t see this kind of awesome, chaotic change even remotely likely in the time frame Mr. Wishful Thinking KGB-Dude projects. Two years?!!! Give me a break. Besides, the other countries that will supposedly plunder America will suffer any economic collapse along with us. Or does Putin just think he’ll get top petro dollar when we’re broke?

We will remain the United States and tough times won’t change that fact.

Thats probably what the Russians were saying 12 months before the Soviet Union imploded. “The Soviet Union fall apart? Ridiculous! Impossible!”
