Republic of Texas? Sure. But Texas as part of Mexico? Over my dead body.

This laughable paper is a PRAYER for liberals around the world who smell forward movement on such a world happening with the election of 2008 in the US. They will push stories like this to CREATE opinion and have the world believe this is what is to be. Its simply hatred of America as we knew it, somewhat know it now and one they wish would disappear altogether.

Well, it’s already started...

There’s the Republic of Lakota — http://www.republicoflakotah.com/

I figure that there are a number of FReepers who will support the Republic of Lakota pulling away from the United States, because they already support various states pulling away from the United States.

I would say that if these FReepers support the actions of the Republic of Lakota, then that will give them the “basis” for pulling their own state away from the United States..., like they say they want to do...

Demographics is a bitch. It's not ‘liberal’ to see the SW being taken over by illegal aliens.

The more the FED takes from the commons the more the idea of the Republic breaking up is possible.

“There’s a 55: 45 per cent chance right now that disintegration will occur,” he was quoted as saying.”

Sounds like the world’s tsunami, AIDS, starvation, and humanitarian-crisis victims better find a new sugardaddy!

As with Bobby Lee, my allegiance is to my God and my home state first, the Federal Government last.

Only if the Church lifts off. For those left, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

the imbecile obviously drew lines based on no knowledge of American history whatsoever-UTAH lumped in with CA, AZ-??? KY and TN , the Carolinas, choosing to go with the northeast rather than the deep south? The American midwest dominated by Canada when we have many times there population? Does the fool not realize that AK has a national guard that possesses high tech weapons and plenty of them? I say this as a person who believes that the secession of the midwest (lower at least) and the south + TX is the only way to preserve *some* American freedom and the Constitution.

I think he and Emmanuel Todd are blood brothers. However, each has some valid points.

It shows how little people from other countries know about America and its history..

They could only wish the worst for us..

Speaking as a Canadian, as far as I know Canada has no influence. I don’t think he knows much about the US or Canada.

No influence? You guys are gonna get the Buffalo Bills in a couple of years.

Every country has their problems. Quebec is something Canada will have to keep an eye on.
