I am sure the request by the Vatican will be heeded after an atomic explosion or two.

That was what it took to stop the violence in the Pacific theater in 1945.

The calls for a cessation of the violence only come when Israel is winning. Why is that?

Lets send a few hundred rockets every day onto the heads of the Vatican and London (what a short memory THEY have).

Then lets ask them their opinion again.

Israel shouldn’t stop til the job is done. Don’t succume to pressure from these left wing goons. If they love Gaza so much, they should move there

Ceasefire? Sure, right after the mission is complete.

Some will lie to say that the Vatican didn't say that. But yes, the Vatican said it and has made the same kind of statement many times before.

Vatican Condemns Israel for Attacks on Lebanon
Reuters ^ | July 14, 2006

Excerpt:

Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Angelo Sodano said Pope Benedict and his aides were very worried that the developments in the Middle East risked degenerating into "a conflict with international repercussions."

"In particular, the Holy See deplores right now the attack on Lebanon, a free and sovereign nation, and assures its closeness to these people who already have suffered so much to defend their independence," he told Vatican Radio.

"I am sure the request by the Vatican will be heeded after an atomic explosion or two."

Maybe after Iran launches on the Vatican and on London (see German movements during WWII).

The United Kingdom has called for an “immediate halt” to violence in Gaza, while the Pope called upon “all sides” to end the violence.

And how many such calls were being made when Hamas was launching its rockets?

I’ve come up with a simple plan. If Israel has finally had enough of the Gazans, it should push them into Egypt. But then it should pay reparations to each man, woman and child of a total amount of $10B.

For the 1.5 million Gazans, this works out to $6,600 each. The average annual pay of an Egyptian is $1,300.

Then the US can double the Israel contribution, and Palestinians will be a wealthy class within Egypt.

The GDP of Israel is $170B. So $10B would be a bargain to be done with the Gazans for good.

And for the icing on the cake, the Israelis might even encourage the Israeli Arabs to move to Gaza from Israel proper, as a much more peaceful and prosperous people.

The vatican has shown where they stand on the front of right and wrong. They stayed silent as 53% of Catholics voted for Marxist, pro-baby killer Barry H. Obama as POTUS, and now denounce Israel as they fight Islamo-facism!!

This former Catholic says enough!!

I'm always amazed at the stop the violence crowd, you can count on it every time. Joe Blow calls for world peace, Bilgewater is distressed and Sally is saddened and urges a quick solution to this unfortunate event.

Nobody listens and most are quietly rooting for there side to win, but all will walk around with dour expressions and express regrets, ect. Welcome to strange world of Alice in Wonderland.

Note to the Vatican- stuff it.
Your current diplomacy regarding Islamic countries is treason to your own faith, the remains of Christendom and to Western Civilization. You are facilitating the Dhimmitude of Europe, while doing nothing for your co-religionists living as Dhimmi.

UK: wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong,,,,wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong,,,you’re WRONG,you’re WRONG, you’re WRONG. (Dr.Perry Cox’s version of how to inform someone they are mistaken.)

Vatican: repeat the same.

I don’t care if it’s the U.S., the U.K., or the Vatican that demands a ceasefire, Israel has my blessing to continue and in fact escalate it’s activity until the rockets stop raining in on it. You’d have to be a witting/unwitting disciple of Satan to urge otherwise. All evil needs to flourish is for good men to remain silent, standing by doing nothing as it conquers all. Go for it Israel. You’ll have a green light from here until some assholes are either dead or convinced they can no longer attack you with impunity.

Washington according to Fox News is also trying to create a cease fire. They had Conoleeza Rice on talking about working towards a cease fire. Bush Administration going increasingly soft on terror.

If someone was to fire a rocket at another country from the US the US would arrest the person fast.

Why should it be any different for the Muslims?
